Dior New Look 2012 Makeup Collection – New Look Mascara and 5 Couleurs Eye Shadow Swatches

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the legendary Diorshow mascara, Dior have launched the Diorshow New Look Mascara, an innovative formulation with a nourishing and high definition result.

Alongside this brand new product, Dior have unveiled the New Look makeup collection. The range includes brand new shades of the Dior 5 Couleurs eyeshadow and two repromoted shades of Dior Vernis nail colour for an altogether fresh take on Spring styling.

Dior New Look Mascara

With the Diorshow New Look Mascara, lashes look instantly denser, fuller and infinitely multiplied with extreme colour intensity. The lash amplifing effect is boosted by nutrients that make lashes strong and more resilient over time.

The Dior New Look Mascara "Nano Brush"

The New Look nano brush is a far cry from the oversized brushes of previous Diorshow mascaras, but the result is just as dramatic. The ingenius upper bristles catch each and every lash for intense definition, while the lower bristles load lashes  for a fully coated 3D effect.

Dior New Look Mascara in 264 New Look Blue

The mascara comes in three shades: New Look Black 090, New Look Blue 264, and New Look Brown 694. The ultra pigmentation lights up the eyes with intensity, and the long lasting formulation doesn’t clump or smudge.

I have naturally sparse and straight lashes (made even worse by a recent eyelash curler disaster – ouch), and two coats of this mascara, plus a little more applied to the ends, effortlessly gives the wide-eyed effect above. The formulation never flakes, but rather stays quite pliable – I’m able to press my lashes upwards for extra lift hours after application, and the lashes will stay in place. Because of the sparsity of my lashes I quite like them being quite spiky and bold, but a more natural look is very easily achieved if you comb the wand evenly from the base to the tip of lashes.

The ‘nano brush’ isn’t overly small, as you can see above in comparison to my eye, but it’s definitely a far cry from the oversized original Diorshow brush. Its volumising and lengthening qualities are just the same though – it’s a more user friendly way to sculpt a false lash look.

Dior 5 Couleurs New Look Collection

To compliment your new luscious lashes, Dior have created four brand new shades of the bestselling 5 Couleurs eye shadow. The creamy, harmonious palette reveals a central shade that sets the tone of the colourway, with matte, satin and iridescent finishes surrounding it.

The unique combination of finishes allow the creation of a captivating eye look which can be intensified with the New Look mascara.
