Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo

Philip Kingsley One More Day 1

Re-Branded Signature (Emma) copy

No matter your styling preferences, a good dry shampoo is bound to be a key part of your hair wardrobe. Everyone knows that second day hair is the best, am I right?

Dry shampoos fulfil one main function: to absorb excess oiliness and allow you to extend the time between hair washing by another day. Philip Kingsley has taken this concept to heart in the development of their first ever dry shampoo, and have very aptly named it One More Day (shop here). However, One More Day does so much more. Created by the world’s leading trichologists, it’s designed to be as much a scalp and hair treatment as it is an oily hair regulator, promising to soothe, balance and gently volumise the hair for the ultimate style refresh.

Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo

Like all Philip Kingsley formulas it’s packed with some powerhouse hair-helping ingredients, including flake-fighting zinc PCA, naturally healing allantoin, and anti-inflammatory bisabolol. If your current dry shampoo leaves your scalp feeling a tad itchy between washes, then this is the formula for you. The combination of soothing ingredients and the lightweight texture means that it’s almost imperceptible on the scalp, which is just what you want when you’re trying to simulate the effect of freshly washed hair.

The scent is very lovely, too. Fresh and lightly floral, it has enough substance about it that it will effectively neutralise hair odour, but it is mild enough that it won’t overpower your perfume.

Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo1

I’ve been using mine daily since I got it, and not always as a traditional dry shampoo. It’s so lightweight and workable that I actually use it as a style prep on my freshly washed hair to give it a bit of shape and texture. I give my paddle brush a quick spray, and then swoosh (that’s a technical term, don’t you know) through my hair from the roots to the mid sections, avoiding my dry ends. When my hair starts to get a little oily at the roots, I spritz One More Day straight onto them from about 30cm away. A quick massage and a brush, and my hair is swishy once more.

  • Katherine De Riera

I would braid my hair into a fishtail which takes forever on my waist length hair!!!! Thankyou for the fab giveaway!

  • Dr_philamazan

If i was given one more day, i’ll catch up with my family which i’ve been meaning to do so but wasn’t able to.

  • Oh, I know exactly what I would do! Since I work in 12-hour long day and night shifts and life does not stop because one has worked all night long, my locks are dying for a bit of oomph in the morning. After I catch some snooze time, when I do wake up I look a mess. Suddenly several calls are incoming, I need to pop in the city, pay the bills, catch up with an old friend etc. A flat, boring ponytail simply does not cut it all the time. People start noticing my dark eye circles and a gray-ish complexion. Let the hair look amazing and cover up the rest of the problems, please?

  • Mahe Ram

I would love to spend it with my mom – after my dad passed away, she lives alone and I could meet her only once a year during annual vacation. Any extra day would be great to spend with her to cherish the memories of my parents !

  • Manica Jain

If I would get some extra bit of time, I would love to spend it with my family as due to our hectic schedule we hardly get time to spend with each other. Not only this but also we will chat a lot (cracking funny jokes and breaking into laughter) and discuss all what happened during the week. I am sure that extra day will rejuvenates me with more energy for another busy week and the feeling of being with my loved ones again will keep me going on.

  • Ida Rasmussen

I would take a day trip somewhere lovely and eat, shop, and be merry all day 🙂

But once I hand it in on Friday, I will spend all extra time thanking those who have lived with me through the past three months, they impress me.

They take ages to heat up, and then use but my hair always looks amazing after I’ve used them – so this would be perfect to allow me the extra time to be able to make my hair full and voluminous. Plus, dry shampoo works a treat at helping the curls last too – so it would help the curls stay in place all day long – perfect!
