Binky’s Cool Winter Makeup Look

Binky's Cool Winter Makeup Look

Binky's Signature

I’m back from my winter-sun holiday, and while Britain may not be snowbound just yet, I am definitely feeling the chill. But rather than moan about how freezing it seems, I’ve decided to look on the bright side this week and celebrate the January temperatures with a frosty makeover.

This season’s most gorgeous eyeshadow palettes and highlighter compacts are brimming with glistening pastels and icy shades, just right for experimenting with winter-wonderland make-up. This is a look that suits both pale and olive skins, and can be worn by day or night, making it a great beauty all-rounder at this time of year.

How To Do Cool Winter Makeup

You’ll need:

•   DiorSkin Forever Flawless Perfection Foundation

•   Clarins Ever Matte Mineral Powder Compact

•   Daniel Sandler Sheer Satin Shadow in Celestial Pink

•   Too Faced Glamour Dust Glitter Pigment in Pink Fire

•   Guerlain Maxi Lash Mascara

•   Daniel Sandler Black Velvet Eyeliner

•   Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick

Step 1: Perfect Skin
A delicate make-up look like this one starts with perfect skin, so begin by blending DiorSkin Forever Flawless foundation over your face, using your fingers or a foundation brush. This will create a smooth, even canvas on which to apply your make-up. Fix your foundation in place with a dusting of Clarins powder, using the palette sponge to dab powder across your the forehead and chin. This will get rid of any unwanted shine and ensure your foundation lasts longer.

Step 2: Ice-Queen Eyes
Start by brushing Daniel Sandler Dimensional Shadow across your lids, along the lower lash line, and into the tear duct. It’s a gorgeous pastel shade with a hint of sparkle, and it acts as a perfect shimmery base colour. Next blend Daniel Sandler Celestial Pink shadow along the socket of each eye to create shape and depth – the cool pink shade will instantly brighten your eyes. Now apply a wash of Too Faced Glamour Dust to the eyes, working across the lid into the tear duct. This is a super-glittery product and the easiest way to apply it is by tipping a little onto the back of your hand then dabbing it on with a brush – be careful, though. It can end up everywhere! Finish up with a softly smudged eyeliner flick, drawn along your upper lash line, and then a couple of coats of coal-black mascara.

Step 3: Icicle Cheeks
Now it’s time to give your complexion an icy, Jack Frost shimmer. BareMinerals Pure Radiance is a pretty highlighter powder that adds the perfect hint of sparkle. Dust it across your cheek bones and forehead, and above your Cupid’s bow.

Step 4: Kissable Lips
In keeping with the pretty pastel feel of this make-up look, I’ve chosen a delicate rose-coloured lipstick from Clarins. Smooth it straight onto your lips for an irresistible pinky pout.
