It’s been a busy but glorious week for me. Alex and I jetted off to Dubai for a few days to catch some last-minute rays before filming for the next series of MIC begun. Sun, sea and sand – pure bliss!

All that sun seems to have taken its toll on my skin though, so I’ve been upping the ante on my skincare regime since I got back to the UK.

So this week, I thought I’d share with you the skincare routine I’m following at the moment. Being a total beauty obsessive, I’ve been through a vast array of lotions and potions over the years, but I think I’ve finally found what works for me.

I must stress, though, that skincare isn’t a one-size-fits-all type of thing. It’s important to select products specifically suited to your skin type, and I’d also suggest sampling a range of products before you buy them in full size.

My Morning Routine

CLEANSER
Bioderma Sebium Purifying and Foaming Cleansing Gel
This fresh, invigorating foaming cleanser really wakes my skin up in the morning. The soap-free formula is gentle on my skin & leaves it feeling purified and fresh. It also reduces sebum secretion, lowering the risk of breakouts – result!

MOISTURISER
Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute Light
I tend to chop and change my daily moisturizer quite a bit, but I’m loving this one from Nuxe at the moment. Its lightweight, smoothing formula moisturises and hydratesmy skin like a dream. This is a great product for combination skin – it absorbs excess oil and soothes the skin. Plus it dries super quick, so you’re not left with that horrible sticky feeling on your face.

PRIMER
Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner
This little beauty tightens dilated pores and prevents skin imperfections, making it the ideal product to use during one of those pesky breakouts. It melts into skin easily and acts as a great base or primer for your make-up.

Over time, the corrective formula also helps reduce the quantity of sebum production in the skin.

My Bedtime Routine

MAKE-UP REMOVER
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution
This cult cleanser from Bioderma is one of my ultimate favourite skincare products. It’s an ultra-mild, alcohol-free micellar water cleanser and make-up remover. As well as leaving my skin feeling clean and fresh, it’s really easy to use – simply wipe a cotton pad soaked in the product across your face. It even removes waterproof mascara!

EYE CREAM
Bioderma Sensibio Eye Contour Gel
The skin around your eye area is incredibly delicate, so it’s important you treat it with some extra TLC. This lightweight, hydrating gel is perfect – it reduces puffiness as well as smoothing fine lines.It’s fragrance free, preservative free and hypoallergenic – perfect for your peepers. I pop a bit on before bed as the final part of my beauty regime.

EXFOLIATOR
Clarins Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream with Microbeads
It’s important to incorporate an exfoliator into your weekly skincare routine in order to maintain fresh, youthful looking skin. The little beads in this Clarins cream gently lift away impurities and dead cells from the skin, leaving you with a super-smooth, radiant complexion.

SKIN SOOTHER
Caudalie Grape Water
This 100% organic spray is made solely of nutrient rich grapes. You can use it as a toner, skin-cooler or moisturiser – simply spritz it onto your face for an instant refresh.

FACE MASK
Bioderma Hydrabio Moisturising Mask
This mask is suitable for weekly use – it provides deep, lasting moisture and allows tired or dehydrated skin to regain its softness and suppleness. Its thick, creamy texture makes it a real treat to use! I apply the mask generously to my face and neck and let it work its magic for around 10 minutes.
