I am quite lucky when it comes to my daily skincare rituals as my skin generally takes care of itself without too much help. However there are a few essentials that go a long way in maintaining my youthful baby faced features (which are fading faster than I would like)!

1) La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Skin Recovery Accelerator

A few years ago I had chest surgery and going into it knew I would have quite a large scar coming out of it. At the time I thought it would be my badge of honour, but after the surgery – whether it was the meds or something else – I was not happy with it.

I was recommended the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Skin Recovery Accelerator to use after after the initial stages of recovery and I slathered it on. The gel soothed the itching and worked well to help the dry patch that appeared around the scar. Now, three years on, the scar is barely visible and healed a lot better than the doctors initially expected. I put it down to my hours spent with Cicaplast!

2) La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Nutritive Oil SPF50+

The oil slathers on really comfortably and the smell reminds me of a summer holiday. 3) Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick

A new discovery for me is the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick. After a hard weekend of exercise and manual labour my lips were dry and chapped and felt awful! Monday morning I bought the Reve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick and immediately felt the relief and benefits of the shea butter, honey and sunflower. My lips feel softer and moist. This will be a constant companion on my desk for daily use.

4) Nuxe Men Anti-Irritating Shaving Gel

Every man has their go-to shaving gel, and the Nuxe Men Anti-Irritating Shaving Gel is mine. The gel foams nicely and a little goes a long way. The gentle formula soothes and protects the skin from the daily irritation of shaving. Not once have I had any sort of shaving reaction and I credit this shaving gel for my baby soft chin.

5) La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Spray

There is no better feeling than spraying the La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Spray on a hot summers day (not that we get too many of those in Cardiff!). A landmark on my desk, this is great for freshening up the skin from the office environment. It can also be stored in the fridge for added coolness – this classic is superb!
