The Low-Key Festival Look

Rosie Fortescue Festival Look

There’s just something about seeing live music that is so fun and so inspiring. Although I definitely normally stick with minimalistic makeup, a festival is the ideal time to play with your makeup and experiment a lot more.

To keep your makeup locked into place all day, I recommend using a primer as it definitely makes a difference. I love the bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer because it pretty much does everything. It makes sure your skin stays moisturized but also tackles any excess oil without feeling heavy on the skin. I find it best to just apply a small amount with your hands all over your face. For the base, I also love the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue because it’s so comfortable to wear and it also lets my skin breathe whilst also looking polished. For the rest of the face we kept it quite simple but just used some bronzer and some highlighter – I’d recommend the Daniel Sandler Powder Bronzer because it has everything you need in a single compact.

For the eyes, we went for shimmery and bright bronze shades that manage to make your eyes look bigger and brighter. I love the Laura Geller The Wearables palette because it has every colour you would ever need in one easy palette. The shadows are also baked and have the softest texture. My favourite brushes are from Real Techniques because they make doing your eye makeup so simple. At a festival, I think it’s the perfect time to go for some waterproof eye makeup to make sure you don’t have makeup ending down your face. The Clarins Waterproof Eyeliner in Black adds smudge-free definition and the Truly Waterproof Mascara holds a curl all day.

For the lips, I think a coral lip perfectly complements festival makeup. The Daniel Sandler Lip Brush is perfect for making sure you apply the product really evenly. My favourite bit of the look was the Michael Kors Lipgloss in Dew because it has really fine shimmer that manages to catch the light and look beautiful. You can layer it over any lip colour to make your lips look really juicy and shiny.

Rosie Fortescue Festival Hair Breaker Tiny

For the hair we went for a messy and bohemian inspired look that was almost a bit disheveled. The best product to get festival chic hair is the Klorane Oatmilk Dry Shampoo, as it adds texture and volume but leaves hair feeling soft. We used a curling iron to add in some curls and then also some tiny plaits to add some texture.

Until next time,
Rosie
