It feels as if I have been holding my tongue about this launch for what seems like a lifetime. It’s not often that I find it hard to keep a secret, but keeping schtum about GIVENCHY’s latest launch has proven to be rather difficult. But luckily, for both my sanity and your lips I can officially tell all about the new lipstick line-up from GIVENCHY, Rouge Interdit Vinyl.
So, what’s so special about this collection? I think the question is… what isn’t? Firstly, the range of 12 luxurious lipsticks create vinyl-like shine and a plumping effect on the lips as a silicon resin forms an elastic yet thin film on the lips. Secondly, the nourishing formula contains black rose oil, a precious ingredient that keeps lips moisturised, comforted and looking healthy. And thirdly, the lipsticks feature a blurring effect that scatters light to give a soft focus effect – meaning your lips look fabulous at every angle!
And of course, I cannot forget about the packaging. In true GIVENCHY style, the Rouge Interdit Vinyl lipsticks are enclosed in a case complete with an embossed metallic ribbon that spells GIVENCHY, so no-one need ask ‘What lipstick is that?’. The black and silver casing screams luxury, and the satin loop hole at the bottom of the bullet allows you to reveal the lipstick in one swift and stylish movement. With a choice of 12 highly pigmented shades to choose from GIVENCHY have us spoilt for choice, so we thought we’d share some swatches of our favourites with you…
GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit Vinyl
in 03 Rose Mutin
As spring fast approaches I think 03 Rose Mutin is the perfect shade to get us all in the mood. The perfect all-rounder, it’s the type of lipstick you could wear by day to work or school and by night to match a multitude of looks. A nude pink with subtle shimmer 03 Rose Mutin can be sheered out to leave a subtle wash of colour or layered to achieve an ultra-glossy warm-toned pink.
GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit Vinyl
in 11 Rouge Rebelle
Like many, I swoon over red lipsticks, there’s just something about them that makes me feel ultra glamorous. 11 Rouge Rebelle in my eyes is the perfect red lipstick, sheer enough that it’s not too dramatic for work but pigmented enough that it makes a statement, its a red you’ll reach for time and time again. A glossy red with a slight orange undertone, it’ll look beautiful with a glowing tan or add a dramatic pop of colour to pale skin – think Snow White!
GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit Vinyl
in 12 Grenat Envoûtant
If you love rocking a bold lip, you’ll love this one. A vibrant berry shade with a purple tint 12 Grenat Envoûtant reminds me of the juice that runs from raspberries. If you love a bold lip but not the upkeep you can wear 12 Grenat Envoûtant sheered out for a bitten, stained look, but if you’d prefer to make a statement with your lip colour this is just the ticket, layer up for a vampy result.
GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit Vinyl
in 16 Noir Révélateur
Last but definitely not least, let me introduce you to a shade that in my opinion is the star of the show: 16 Noir Révélateur. Reacting to the pH of the lips, this black lipstick will create a completely unique shade on every woman. On my lips the lipstick transformed into a dark plum, creating a just bitten effect that wasn’t too light or too dark. Another reason to go weak at the knees for this lipstick is the fact that you can wear it alone, or over the top of any lipstick to darken its shade, allowing you to customise your look time and time again.
Over to you!
What’s your favourite shade of Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl?

I have a soft spot for a bold, berry lip so I’m with you on this! Plus, it sealed the deal that they’re super nourishing too – perfect all-rounder! Ceryn

you know i cant choose between them because they are all great for different times , I think Rouge Rebelle I would wear in the evenings & the Grenate Envoutant day & night , while the other two i would wear in the day time, I think the Rose Mutin would look great on me in the summer when my tan is deeper , & Noir Revelateur I would wear every day & it would be gone in a jiffy . I love them ALL <3

Aren’t they just Sarah? When you find a lipstick that’s comfortable, kind to your lips and has amazing pigment you should never let it go! Ceryn
