Beauty Team Favourites – July 2017

The Escentual Beauty Team Favourites July 2017

July’s new launches didn’t disappoint! From a colour correcting balm you’ll fall in love with to a makeup remover that will change your skincare game for good, you’re about to discover some amazing beauty finds this month.

Focusing on our top six picks from this month’s brand new offerings on site,  there’s never been a better time to treat yourself…

As much as I’ve loved the sunshine this month, I’m a lover of dark nights and burgundy hues, so July is when I get fully excited about the couture autumn makeup collections.

Apart from finding my new favourite nude from Guerlain Fall 2017, I’ve also discovered a game changing cleanser that doesn’t break me out…

Guerlain KissKiss Hydrating & Plumping Velvet Matte Lip Colour in Caliente Beige Product ShotGuerlain KissKiss Hydrating & Plumping Velvet Matte Lip Colour in Caliente Beige

To know that there’s a Guerlain new matte lip collection that’s launched for autumn got me very excited this month. For me, the velveteen finish and natural lip shade of the Caliente Beige works perfectly for my skin and undertone – I feel like I’ve found another perfect nude to add to my collection with this shade.

What I particularly enjoy about the KissKiss Matte Lipstick is their ability to create a perfected shape to my uneven lips without looking dry and flaky – you’ve gotta try it!

Avene 3 in 1 Makeup Remover Product Shot

Avene 3 in 1 Makeup Remover

Finding a great makeup remover that saves me time and energy has made my month! Gentle enough for my eyes, but tough enough to remove my full coverage foundation, the new Avene 3 in 1 Makeup Remover is the ultimate lazy girl’s cleanser.

The best thing about this speedy solution is it doesn’t strip or irritate your skin, as sometimes cleaners that tackle stubborn mascara can feel that way. The infusion of Avene Eau Thermal Water keeps skin comforted and cleansed.

Emporio Armani Because It's You Eau de Parfum Bottle Shot

Emporio Armani Because It’s You Eau de Parfum

You’ve probably seen this fragrance everywhere throughout July, the launch has been a real success! From the first spritz, I fell in love with the strong ‘blackcurrant skittles’ burst that follows.

I’ve kept it on my desk ever since it arrived in HQ, and whenever I spray it, I can guarantee that someone will ask me ‘what perfume are you wearing?’, and that works well for me.

You can read the full review of both Armani Because It’s You and Stronger With You fragrances here.

This month, in a bid to cure my holiday blues; I turned to beauty retail therapy! I tested out some of the hottest new beauty releases, to see what all the fuss was about. And, unsurprisingly along the way, I have discovered some must-try products in skincare, makeup and haircare.

Laura Geller Filter Corrector Color Perfecting Balm

When it comes to colour-correcting I have tried my fair share of formulas. What I find works best for me are cream formulas, especially those with a balmy texture as they really stay-put. And my latest obsession, the Laura Geller Filter Corrector Color Perfecting Balm is just that!

A no-brainer go-to for anyone that wants to dabble in colour-correcting, this compact contains a peach for under eye dark circles, light blue for radiance and a green to counteract redness. It’s the ultimate all-in-one!

Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil

I’ll admit, usually, I am hopeless with hair care. So, lately, I have made a conscious effort to start treating my tresses better.

In an attempt to ease myself in slowly, I’ve opted for a hair oil, the Living Proof Frizz Nourishing Oil to be exact. Ultra lightweight, this oil doesn’t weigh down my fine hair, instead, it gives a big dose of hydration and blocks humidity and frizz thanks to Living Proof’s healthy hair molecule (OFPMA).

Made for all hair types, I’ve really seen a difference in how sleek my hair looks when using this and it’s now a firm step in my routine.

Clarins SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask

Clarins SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask

There’s nothing I love more than testing new skincare, especially when it comes to face masks. For an upcoming feature I’m working on I’ve been trialling the new Clarins SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask and it’s safe to say I am smitten.

The clay-based mask is all about decongesting and detoxifying, which is exactly what I’ve needed this month. A blessing for blemish-prone skin, the SOS Pure Mask has shot straight to the top of my favourites list.
