Ever Matte - Skin Balancing Foundation SPF 15 16 16
Love this product I use this product every day now and start going though withdrawal symptoms if I run out. Even bought some for my friend who was ill to give her some colour ! March 31, 2014
very good Lovely colour and texture. Very easy to apply, kind of melts in your skin. Love the smell and feeling in my skin. Sheer to medium. I have very oily skin (t zone) and know that no foundation no matter the price or brand will last more than 4 or 5 hours on me. Although this foundation might not last much longer than that on its own, it doesn't melt down and a bit of hd powder sets it for a bit longer (till the end of my working day for example). I got a sample of every single long lasting foundation for oily skin I could get and this was the best. Recommend it. March 26, 2014
Great all round foundation for combination skins! After reading several online reviews about the clarins ever matte foundation I decided to take the plunge and purchase it, and am very happy I made the decision to! I wear the lightest shade available and this is a perfect colour match for me (for reference I am a 01 in Clinique anti blemish and an NC20 in mac!) I can see how people could find this to be slightly too yellow toned; something I find works well to counteract redness of blemishes- no need for concealer just a dab more of the clarins. The foundation has a lovely fresh scent, it smells like their skincare, and light texture. This also manages to maintain a matte t-zone up to 6hrs in my case and still looks somewhat natural due to not being a totally matte finish, February 3, 2014
Could be lovely, but... My initial impression with this foundation was good... It smells gorgeous and has a lovely texture, goes on smoothly with a matte yet slightly luminous (not dewy or shiny) glow, which I love because other matte foundations I have tried have a very dry appearance, which made my skin look dull. I also like the promise of it balancing my problem skin, though I don't think I have been using it for long enough to see any benefits yet. The coverage in my opinion, is light to medium and isn't really buildable. Unfortunately, Ever Matte doesn't stay matte as long as other foundations I have used and isn't as long wearing, but nothing a quick touch of powder won't fix Now, here's my problem, and it's big enough for me to write off this foundation and all others by Clarins too... I selected the lightest shade available and, in spite of my 'fairness' being nowhere near the levels of Nicola Roberts, this foundation is just TOO dark. Not just a smidge too dark, so dark that it appears orange on my face. Sorry Clarins, last time I checked 'Ivory' is not the shade of orange I preferred to be in high school. I believe they did once offer a shade lighter than Ivory (looking at Clarins' foundation reviews), but decided to discontinue it, and god knows why. While I'm on a colour rant, their shade range is extremely limited at the other end of the spectrum too, there is absolutely no offering to dark skin tones whatsoever, which I'm sure everyone will agree is just wrong! Sorry Clarins, your foundation formulation may well be beautiful, but I doubt I'll be back. January 6, 2014
