FAQs

How do I redeem my points using the new system?

Points can be redeemed at checkout. At the checkout you’ll see the option to redeem your points just before entering your payment details.

You can choose how many Points you wish to redeem against the value of an order, once the order has been placed this cannot be amended.

You do not have to have enough Points to cover the cost of an item; that is you can make a partial payment with Points towards a product; the remaining cost of an item will have to be paid before the product is dispatched.

Points cannot be spent until they are confirmed, that is once the corresponding order has been fulfilled.

What are my points worth?

1 point = 1p (£0.01). For example, 100 points would be £1.00 off an order.

Are there any restrictions for using my points, for example a delivery pass?

  • Yes, there are some restrictions:
  • Points cannot be redeemed for delivery costs (apart from Delivery Pass).
  • Points cannot be redeemed for gift vouchers, or e-gift cards.
  • Points cannot be used against Sample Sets (Try Before You Buy Sets).
  • Points redeemed do not count towards free delivery; this only applies to cash purchases.

What can I use my points for?

You can use points for:

  • Discounts on product purchases (fixed monetary value).
  • Next day delivery pass.
  • Other rewards as determined by Escentual.
    Escentual reserves the right to substitute or remove products that are available for Points collection and redemption without notice.

Can I use/redeem points when using a Google/discount code?

No.

What happens if I return an order that I’ve spent points on?

  • The provided terms and conditions do not explicitly detail the process for points used on a returned order. In the event of a dispute regarding points, redemptions, or any aspect of the Programme, Escentual's decision will be final. You should contact customer service for specific guidance on returns involving points.

What are the different loyalty tiers?

  • The Escentual Loyalty Programme has 3 tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

How do I qualify for each tier?

Tiers are based on your spending within a 12-month period.

  • Bronze: Account creation / First purchase (Spend of £0).
  • Silver: £300 spend.
  • Gold: £3000 spend.

My points were vouchers; now I can't find them. Where are they?

We’ve turned your vouchers back into points and re-credited your balance.

Where can I view my points?

Log in and click the Loyalty star at the top of the website, next to the Account section. Here you’ll be able to see your points overview including your balance and previous transactions.

Can I earn and redeem points if I live outside of the UK?

No. Currently, you can only earn and redeem points if the order is being shipped to the UK.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Membership & Eligibility

1.1. Eligibility: The Escentual Loyalty Programme is open to all individual customers of Escentual.com based in the UK. There is no cost to join.

1.2. Enrolment: You can join the Programme by creating an account on Escentual.com. Your membership begins automatically upon account creation. To receive Escentual Loyalty updates and programme communications, you must be subscribed to our newsletter.

1.3. One Account Per Person: Each customer is limited to one Escentual Loyalty Programme account. If we identify that you have more than one account with Escentual, we may, at our discretion, merge them into a single account or cancel all associated accounts and Points.

1.4. Personal Use Only: Membership and its benefits are for personal use only and are non-transferable. Business use of the scheme is strictly forbidden. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel any points or accounts that we deem to be for business use at our discretion.

2. Earning Points

2.1. Primary Earning:

  • Earn 2 points for every £1 spent on eligible purchases at Escentual.com.
  • Points are rounded down to the nearest whole pound spent. For example, for a £3.99 product, you will only earn 6 Points.
  • Points are earned on a product-by-product basis. For example, if you buy 3 products at £9.99 each, you will earn 3 lots of 18 Points totalling 54 Points, not based on the basket total of £29.97.
  • The number of Points earned will be stated on the basket page.

2.2. Points Allocation Timing: Points will be allocated to your account upon fulfilment of your order. Points will show as 'pending' when your order is confirmed. Once the corresponding order has been dispatched, they will be confirmed and available to use; they cannot be used until the corresponding order has been dispatched.

2.3. Non-Purchase Earning Opportunities:

  • Product Review: Earn 50 points per eligible product review.
  • Social Media Follow: Earn 100 points for following Escentual on eligible social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook).
  • Refer a Friend: Refer a new customer who makes their first order, and both the referrer and the referee will receive 500 points. Points earned from the "Refer a Friend" scheme may take up to 30 days to be approved.

2.4. Bonus/Multiplier Opportunities:

  • Double Points: May be offered for specific products, categories, or during promotional periods.
  • Triple Points: May be offered during promotional periods.
  • Spending Milestones: Bonus points may be awarded for reaching specific spending milestones.
  • Exclusive Bonus Point Events: Members may receive access to exclusive bonus point events.
  • During online Points promotions, existing Points promotions will not be multiplied. Escentual reserves the right to withdraw any Points promotions and/or offers at any time without notice.

2.5. Exclusions:

  • Points are not earned on shipping fees or the purchase of gift vouchers/e-gift cards.
  • Points cannot be earned on Sample Sets (Try Before You Buy Sets).
  • Points are only issued on new sales and will not be applied to past purchases.

2.6. Multi-Currency: If you choose to purchase in a currency other than GBP, Points will be earned and redeemed at the GBP equivalent price (this is not affected by the daily exchange rate). They are still earned at the rate of 2 Points per £1 spent and are equivalent to 0.01p.

3. Expiry & Management

3.1. Points expire based on your tier:

  • Bronze Tier: Points expire 90 days after the date issued
  • Silver Tier: Points expire 180 days after the date issued.
  • Gold Tier: Points expire 365 days after the date issued.

3.2. Inactivity Definition: Inactivity is defined as no qualifying purchases or points earning activity within the specified period.

3.3. Your tier status is valid for 365 days. The 365-day period begins on 5th August 2025. If you move up a tier, your updated tier status will be valid for 365 days from 5th August 2026.

3.4. Expiry Notification: You will receive notifications about upcoming point expiry via email, and potentially via app notification.

4. Redeeming Points

4.1. Redemption Rate: 1 point = 1p (£0.01).

4.2. Redemption Channel: Points can be redeemed online or on the app at checkout. Points are only available to spend on Escentual.com.

4.3. What Points Can Be Redeemed For:

  • Discounts on product purchases (fixed monetary value).
  • Next day delivery pass.
  • Other rewards as determined by Escentual.
  • Points redeemed do not count towards free delivery; this only applies to cash purchases.

4.4. Exclusions:

  • Points cannot be redeemed for delivery costs (apart from the Delivery Pass).
  • Points cannot be redeemed for gift vouchers or e-gift cards.

4.5. Redemption Process:

  • Points cannot be spent until they are confirmed, i.e., once the corresponding order has been fulfilled.
  • Points are not automatically discounted from the basket. The customer can choose how many Points they wish to redeem against the value of an order. Once the order has been placed, this cannot be amended.
  • You do not have to have enough Points to cover the entire cost of an item; you can make a partial payment with Points towards a product. The remaining cost of an item will have to be paid before the product is dispatched.
  • Escentual reserves the right to substitute or remove products that are available for Points collection and redemption without notice.
  • Spending Points may be subject to network availability.

4.6. Returning/Refunding of Goods with Points:

  • If you return a product for a refund, the number of Points collected during that transaction will be deducted from your Escentual account.
  • If you return a product for a refund and have spent the Points earned while purchasing the product and have no remaining Points in your account, you will be refunded for the value of the product minus the value of the Points earned on that product (with each Point being equivalent to 1p).
  • If you return a product that has been purchased completely using Points, your account will be credited with the value of the Points used for the purchase. No cash refund will be given in these circumstances.
  • If you return a product that has been purchased partially using Points, you will be refunded for the amount paid using cash, and your account will be credited with the value of the Points used for the purchase. No cash refund will be given where Points have been used to purchase a product.
  • If you return part of your order for a refund, where partial payment has been made using Points on the order, the Points will be refunded first. Only once all redeemed Points have been refunded will the outstanding cash refund be made.

5. Tier Structure & Qualification

5.1. Tier Levels: The Escentual Loyalty Programme has 3 tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

5.2. Tier Qualification Criteria: Tiers are based on your spending within a 12-month period. The 365-day period begins on 5th August 2025. If you move up a tier, your updated tier status will be valid for 365 days from 5th August 2026:

  • Bronze: First purchase.
  • Silver: £300 spend.
  • Gold: £3000 spend.

6. Programme Communication

6.1. Communication Channels: Escentual will communicate with you about the Programme via email, your customer account area on the website, app notifications, WhatsApp, website header bars when logged in, and wallet passes.

6.2. Communication Content: Communications will include your points balance, tier status, and lifetime number of orders.

7. General Terms

7.1. Right to Modify or Terminate: Escentual can withdraw, cancel, or amend the scheme, including these Terms and Conditions, or any Customer account, at any time. Escentual reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Escentual Loyalty Programme, or any part thereof, at any time, with or without notice. This includes, but is not limited to, changes in earning rates, redemption values, tier qualification criteria, and benefits.

7.2. Abuse of Programme: Any abuse of the Programme, including but not limited to, fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or violation of these Terms & Conditions, may result in the termination of your membership and forfeiture of all accrued points and benefits. Escentual can take any action it considers appropriate if there is reason to believe that the scheme is being abused in any form.

7.3. No Cash Value: Points do not have an actual cash value and will never be exchanged for cash.

7.4. Non-Transferable: Points are non-transferable; they cannot be transferred to any other account.

7.5. Disputes: In the event of a dispute regarding points, redemptions, or any aspect of the Programme, Escentual's decision will be final.

7.6. Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

7.7. Data Protection: Your personal data will be processed in accordance with Escentual's Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
