The House of Houbigant has a rich and illustrious history.

For more than 235 years Houbigant has served as the perfumer to Royals, dignitaries and opinion leaders all over the globe, and has come to symbolise the ultimate luxury of an artisan's touch.

The French house has a remarkable tradition of elegance, quality and innovation that is unparalled in the world of perfumery. Their fragrances have lasted the test of time and are as cherished today as they were many years ago.

Houbigant was founded in 1775 by Jean-François Houbigant, a young man from Grasse in France. His first shop A la Corbeille de Fleurs - a basket of flowers - was situated at the prestigious 19 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, and welcomed many famous clientele. Some of Houbigant's biggest fans included Queen Marie-Antoinette, Queen Victoria, Napoleon, Madame du Barry and Tsar Alexander.

Today, Houbigant remains one of the world's oldest perfumers. Some of the older Houbigant perfumes and bottles are now extremely collectable. With the help of Roja Dove, one of the house's greatest classics Quelques Fleurs has been recreated with special attention paid to the correct sourcing of the oils and the composition of the scent. The floral symphony is perhaps Houbigant's greatest calling card, and remains timeless after all of these years.
