Escentual is proud to support Give and Make Up and Welsh Women's Aid.
What is Give and Make Up?
Each week two women in the United Kingdom are murdered by a
partner or ex-partner. One woman in four experiences domestic
violence in their lifetime.
Refuge and Women's Aid projects protect the lives of thousands
of women and children every day.
Give and Make
Up is a non-profit initiative whose sole purpose is to get
everyday essentials into the hands of these women and children who
need them the most.
Within Wales, Give and Make Up supports Welsh Women's Aid - who
distribute the products across the whole of Wales.
About Welsh Women's Aid:
Welsh Women's
Aid (WWA) was founded in 1978 to campaign and lobby
for improvements in public policy and government legislation in
relation to women and children experiencing domestic abuse in
Wales.
WWA is the national umbrella organisation for thirty one
Women's Aid and former Women's Aid groups who provide specifically
commissioned domestic abuse services within local communities
across Wales. The Women's Aid Movement in Wales delivers a combined
total of 242 refuge bed spaces, and in excess of 300 floating
support bed spaces and a variety of community based non housing
related domestic abuse services across Wales.
How you can help?
You can help Give and Make Up, by donating your unwanted
make-up, toiletries and baby products to Escentual, who will in
turn pass them onto Welsh Women's Aid to support women across the
whole of Wales.
These products will go directly to women who have experience
domestic abuse and are living in refuges, and will help them gain a
bit of normality back in their life, and help them feel better
about themselves.
