Just after the crash of 1929, Jean Patou has the incredible idea of launching Joy "the world's most expensive perfume", a sumptuous fragrance combining rare flowers in one unique concentration : 10600 flowers and 28 dozen roses !
He is also responsible for the first tanning lotion, the legendary Huile de Chaldée in 1927.
The quest for excellence, this refinement can be found in all of Jean Patou's perfumes : from the first created in 1925, up to the most recent "1000" (1972), l'Eau de Patou (1976), Sublime (1992), Un Amour de Patou (1998) and Patou For Ever (1998).
Today it is Jean de Moüy, Jean Patou's great nephew who runs this family business while perpetuating Jean Patou's spirit of tradition and innovation.
