Rated 5 out of 5 by ruum Best fragrance name ever!! Would I review a fragrance beginning with its name? Probably not very often!! La Liturgie de Heures, "the Liturgy of the Hours", a term used to describe a specific service in Christianity is a superb name for a fragrance that is synonymous with old cathedral buildings or monasteries, incense-filled rooms and corridors, perhaps even that annual visit at Christmas. This scent is beautifully crafted and being a Parfum is incredibly long lasting. It develops into a resinous incense, with a smoky vibe as you'd expect from Church-like incense. The box and glass bottle are enormous, making this a great idea for a gift! June 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by ruum The 'liturgy of the hours' It's rare that we actually like the **name** of a fragrance, but this offering from French perfume house Jovoy is really apt!! The fragrance is based around frankincense and myrrh. The Biblical links here are hardly surprising, so the name 'liturgy of the hours' seems very fitting. I am not a big fan of this type of incense. I sampled this and it is strong and long lasting. I did prefer Amouage's "Epic" fragrance though and bought that. Still, the whole appeal of the Jovoy brand is magnificent. Everything from the bottle, to the box and price tag is great! My favourite in the range is probably L'Enfant Terrible. June 4, 2013
