Born in Paris on April 19, 1949 to Francoise Gilot and Pablo
Picasso, she spent her childhood in Paris and the South of France
surrounded by artists, and intellectuals.
After attending the Université de Paris in Nanterre, Ms. Picasso
became a theatrical costumer and stylist for a Paris theatre
production company.
While a costumer, she developed her talent in jewelry design and
decided to go back to design school.
She began producing her own costume jewelry collection which
Yves St.
Laurent showed in 1969. In 1970 and 1971 she designed for the
House of Zolotas, where she perfected her skills, acquiring
knowledge of the practical aspects of jewelry production.
