Avene Cleanance Mask 50ml

£18.00

“The patent-registered Avene Cleanance Mask for oily and blemish-prone skin works to scrub and lift away impurities for clearer and smoother skin.” - Kate, Escentual Beauty Team.

Why You’ll Love The Avene Cleanance Mask:

  • 2-in-1 formula with the benefits of both a face mask and an exfoliator.
  • Mattifies skin for up to two hours after use.
  • Created smooth, purified skin for 98% of users.
  • Left skin feeling gentle and fresh for 95% of users.
  • Ideal for teens and adults with oily, acne or blemish-prone skin.

What You Need To Know:

Boasting a mask-to-scrub texture, the Avene Cleanance Mask gently cleanses, absorbs excess oil and unclogs pores whilst respecting oily and blemish-prone skin. It does this using silica-rich white clay, also known as kaolin, to soak up excess oil without drying out your complexion, so it’s even suitable for sensitive skin. The excessive production of sebum is slowed right down by sebum-regulating monolaurin for a less shiny, matte finish. To complete the mix, your skin will benefit from the naturally soothing and softening properties of Avene’s award-winning Thermal Spring Water.

Why It’s Escentual:

If you’re a fan of the Cleanance skincare collection - particularly the icon that is Cleanance Comedomed - but you’re not using the Cleanance face mask, then you’re seriously missing out. The scrub-mask works in perfect harmony with the rest of the range to support all of the hard work put in by the rest of the collection, while taking a deep dive to clear out pores and soak up excess oil. Plus, who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned pamper sesh? The lightly-scented mask has a whipped cream texture with a light grainy finish that glides across your skin easily as you apply it, before you benefit from its exfoliating side once the five minutes is up.

An added bonus? You can use the mask as a weekly or twice weekly treatment for your bacne. Or, if you have combination skin, then you can use this Avene face on your oily-prone T-zone as part of your multi-masking routine.

The Best Way To Use It:

Use once or twice a week. Apply all over the face to dry skin and leave on for 5 minutes. Then, wet the face and massage the formula into your skin using gentle circular motions to benefit from the mask’s exfoliating properties. Rinse thoroughly after use and pat your skin dry.

The Sustainable Side:

Avene’s biodegradable face mask has been made in a factory that’s certified for the environment.

The mask is held in a cardboard box, which can be popped in the recycling. The tube itself is made from plastic, which can also be recycled one finished.

Values:

Biodegradable.

Non-comedogenic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avene Cleanance Mask for oily/blemish prone skin I use this mask a couple of times a week. After cleansing my face and neck, I like to apply the mask and leave it on while watching the TV. It dries quite quickly but doesn't crack, so I happily leave the mask on longer than it states. When I'm ready to wash the mask off, I simply wet my fingers and massage the product around my face and neck, this is when you feel the gentle scrub effect of the mask. My skin feels lovely and soft after the mask. I then like to apply a layer of the Avene Cicalfate Repair Cream to finish off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good face mask When it arrived I was disappointed by the size but have already got two face masks out of it and should get another two. Nice smell and pleasant tingling feeling. The first time I used it I woke up the next morning and my scars/spots seemed to have faded. The time since then, I did not notice notice amazing effects but it did not irritate my skin or do anything negative either! Would probably not purchase again as is quite expensive for the size, and it has not had any long-term benefits.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mask for breakouts I wanted to try this mask for those moments when I break out during that time of the month. It's a clay mask (kaolin per the description), but it's not the kind of clay mask that dries. I tried leaving it on longer than the recommended 5 minutes, but it stays pretty moist. Because of this, it's very easy to remove, which I like. There are scrubby particles in the mask so that when you add water to remove it acts a bit like a scrub. But I don't feel like this is the greatest mask ever made. It calmed my breakouts and helped dry some things out, but I still had blackheads on my nose (I mention this because a lot of commenters refer to their blackheads). Also, it's quite pricy for the size (1.69 oz isn't a lot for the full price of about $25). I much prefer the Origins Out of Trouble mask which is 3.4 oz and the same price.
