As one of this generation’s hottest and most influential style icons, Marc Jacobs leads the way in both the fashion and pop culture worlds. It is of little surprise then, that the latest offering from the house of Jacobs is a fragrance so achingly cool that Marc himself fronts the advertising campaign.
Bang is an irresistible and daring scent encased in an incredible, crumple effect glass and metal bottle – a dynamic balance of modern sophistication and Jacobs’ trademark irony and irreverence. His first masculine fragrance in almost a decade, Bang teases the conventional lines of fragrance with humour and energy. Exuding youthful spirit and inspiration artistry, Jacobs’ style is timeless and classic with a strong current of rebellion.
Bang’s iconic bottle design is daring and impactful, with a heavyweight, black, faceted glass bottle contrasted with silver metallic plaques. The classic square shape is transformed into something extraordinary by an impact – marked at the core with the debossed logo. Hypnotic and eyecatching, the bottle reflects the light across the fluid curves of the bottle and flashes on the straight and imperfect edges with an electric energy. Like the name, the bottle is open for interpretation – classic and energetic, clever, ironic and always original.
Confident and sensual, Bang is peppery, woody, spicy and full of power. Detonated with black, pink and white peppercorns and grounded by primal, masculine woods, the fragrance lingers seductively with hypnotic elemi resinoid, aromatic benzoin, vetiver, white moss and patchouli. The fragrance liners on the skin with a daring, deep and sophisticated personality.
Marc Jacobs himself heads up the advertising campaign, showing his provocative side with a daring visual. Laying on a bed of shiny mylar, Jacobs is covered only by the Bang fragrance bottle in a bold, revealing and unconventional shot.
