Our Blog of the Week this week was a bit of a no-brainer. She’s been one of our very favourites for as long as we’ve been trawling the blogosphere, effortlessly injecting life into the reviewing of beauty products with a wicked sense of humour and a genuine warmth.

Our unreserved Blog of the Week this week is Lipglossiping, brainchild of 29-year-old mum Charlotte.

Being a great blogger isn’t just about snagging exclusives or getting great products to review. It’s about writing honest, detailed reviews that people can empathise with. Charlotte does just that, proving balanced and thoughtful assessments without withholding or giving a biased opinion. It’s not just her fabulous words that keep us coming back week on week. Charlotte’s skills as a photographer have had us ‘ooh-ing’ and ‘ahh-ing’ over her gorgeous shots (but not as much as we have over her ridiculously adorable daughter!)

Charlotte’s a great example of how – aside from giving impartial reviews to beauty fans – beauty blogs can engender a real sense of community. In instigating The Round Table, Charlotte set up a place for beauty lovers to ask questions of both her and of each other, getting conversations going about their shared passion and luring lurkers out of the beauty loving wilderness.
