Fragrance Inspired By… The Weather

The second post in our ‘Inspired By…’ series focuses upon a tumultuous and highly evocative muse – the weather. From the warm heat of a romantic storm to quenching tropical rain, here are our top picks…

Miller Harris La Pluie
This evocative new scent from Miller Harris captures the scent of a rain drenched tropical island. The centrepiece is a tropical accord of ylang ylang absolute from the Comoro islands, along with Egyptian cassie absolute, jasmine absolute and Tunisian orange flower. Balmy, refreshing and unique, La Pluie is a scent that makes you long for the rain.

Moschino Cheap & Chic Light Clouds
Light Clouds is a flanker to the perennially popular Cheap & Chic line. Light, airy and feminine, it delicately captures the brightness of a breezy spring day, from the plush petals of recently sprung flowers to the cool transparency of the air. Crystalline florals of peach blossom, cyclamen and lotus blossom create a romantic signature accord with a touch of freshness.

Lubin Le Vetiver
The snow inspired this “Winter Vetiver”, which sparks a desire for crackling fires. The scent includes warming notes of mandarin, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, frankincence, myrrh and tobacco for a refined yet embracing signature. Inherently wintery, warm and inviting, Le Vetiver conjures an picture of a cold evening in Paris.

Annick Goutal Un Matin du Orage
The bewitching Un Matin du Orage perfume is a gardenia perfume, but not as you know it. It portrays the bloom as part of a more complex story, one of a Japanese garden after a summer storm. Intense yet dewy with a floral accord refined floral heart of gardenia, magnolia and Indonesian sambac jasmine, it is the scent of a gardenia still covered in rain.
