I have another couple of months to wait until my summer holiday, but I’m already getting in the mood for some sunshine and relaxation. So to celebrate the start of holiday season, I’ve taken five different travel destinations and picked a product to pack if you happen to be heading there. Suitcase ready? Read on…

SOUTH OF FRANCE

Heading to St Tropez, Cannes, or Nice? You need to pack something equally glamorous. I suggest a body shimmer to show off that bronzed glow in the evenings, so why not turn to the brand that was made for those very shores? St Tropez Wash Off Instant Shimmer Stick, £14.40 adds subtle shimmer to a natural or faux tan. Run it across décolletage, shoulders, and arms before stepping out for those sundowners.

CORNWALL

If you’re driving down to Cornwall this summer (and I shall be joining you), it’s a fair bet that you’ll be spending some time in the water. And if the British summer delivers, that could make for some nasty sunburn. Pack a good quality waterproof block and apply generously before you hit the surf. ROME

Booked a city break? Keep your makeup natural by sticking to just a tinted moisturiser as your base, but make sure that it contains SPF to protect your skin whilst shopping, dining, or sightseeing alfresco. I love Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Skin Tint SPF20, £27.25, which gives skin a healthy, luminous glow, whilst keeping the overall look very natural.  Finish with a slick of mascara and a sweep of gloss on your lips.

CARIBBEAN

Heading to the Caribbean? I’m guessing your skin will be subjected to some intensive time in the sun, so make sure you pack an After-Sun that will replenish lost moisture and fight the signs of ageing. I’ve tried a lot of After-Sun products, but my favourite range is still by Clarins. The brand’s After Sun Gel Ultra-Soothing, £14.40, will be my weapon of choice this summer – it leaves skin feeling supple, refreshed, and pumped with moisture.

IBIZA

Ibiza is all about laid-back, boho style – so I suggest packing a seasalt spray for your hair to create loose, natural-looking waves before you hit the town each evening. It will look like you’ve stepped from beach to bar, but with added volume and texture to your locks. TIGI Catwalk Session Series Salt Spray, £11.40 is ideal – spray into wet hair to add body or into dry hair for a tousled texture.
