Along with Dior Addict and J’Adore, Miss Dior is an iconic pillar of the Dior fragrance house.
The collection includes a timeless duo of fragrances, Miss Dior Originale (formerly Miss Dior) and Miss Dior (formerly Miss Dior Cherie), each embossed with a chic dogtooth pattern and tied up with a bow.
Miss Dior celebrates romance with its ultra-feminine notes of Italian mandarin, jasmine and patchouli. It is elegant and spirited with a touch of impertinence, which is a facet reflected in each concentration of fragrance in the range, from the lighter Eau Fraiche and Eau de Toilette, to the more concentrated Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum. The newest addition to the family is Miss Dior Le Parfum, a just-launched, heady scent that sits very nicely between the Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum.
The Parfum exalts extreme femininity through highlighting its chypre accords. It is more voluptuous than the original fragrance, favouring amber, patchouli, vanilla, Turkish rose and Bulgarian rose over mandarin and jasmine. This intensity makes it perfectly suited to evening wear – although I would also wear it sparing during the day (just one spray is enough!)
With its textured, metallic couture bow, crafted like a delicate piece of fabric, the bottle of Miss Dior Le Parfum is one of seduction. A beautiful addition to an already iconic fragrance collection.
