Serge Lutens has a special place in the hearts of fragrance fans. Since the launch of his eponymous fragrance house in 2000, Serge has created dozens of instant classics, each known for its vivid scent imagery and quality of composition.
We have a very knowledgeable Serge Lutens following here at Escentual, and we’ve got something special in store for those dedicated perfumistas. Serge Lutens has launched limited edition travel sprays for two of the brand’s most popular scents: Ambre Sultan and Feminite Du Bois. Each one is packaged in a 30ml matte black atomiser complete with two corresponding glass refill vials. Each travel spray is the perfect size for on-the-go fragrancing (and the upcoming Christmas party season) – note that the scents are limited edition, so there’s no individual refills available aside from the ones included with each travel spray. For fans of Serge Lutens, this is a beautiful collector’s piece!
Here’s what some of our customers had to say about the Ambre Sultan Eau de Parfum:
Luis14: “This is orient in a bottle. The fragrance strikes with all its splendour, warmth and exotism due to the glorious combination of vanilla, benzoin and labdanum. Patchouly gives it earthiness and sandalwood makes it creamy, the atmosphere is dry, sweet and sexy. This sultan can take you into a memorable journey in his flying carpet, a dust of gold surrounding you.”
MattyCurry: “Ambre Sultan opens with this spicy bunch of medicinal herbs, which makes you think of mulled wine and liniment. However Ambre Sultan also works in the blazing heat, really try it, the coolness of whatever that herbal mix is is utterly perfect for escaping the heat without resorting to a citrus. For the amber itself, it’s thick, powerful & resinous. This is a head-turner. As it develops, Ambre Sultan gets this creamy, powdery vanilla note, that just stays there. It feels really clean, but inviting on your skin. I really do love this.”
And what our customers had to say about the Feminite Du Bois Eau de Parfum:
Kayvee: “It’s somehow both very clean and subtly sensual. If it was a fabric, it would be charcoal grey crepe de chine. I find it doesn’t change over the hours, it simply deepens.”
theastrologer2 “There are some scents which have something of a ‘dark side ‘ and Feminite du Bois is one of them. I think it is one of the sexiest perfumes ever and quite a few men have commented on it when I have worn it. However, I do not think it is a perfume for young girls—-too carnal for that.”
