Happy Friday beauty lovers, this week I’m going to be showing you how to get the perfect kissable pout for Valentine’s Day.

Forget roses, chocolates and flowers, nothing says Valentine’s quite like a perfect pretty pink lip. If you’re having a cosy night in with your boyfriend or on the hunt for a new man this February 14^th, your irresistible pout is the best weapon in your armoury on a romantic night.

1. Exfoliate
Before applying any lip product, make sure that your lips are smooth and you’ve got rid of any dry skin.  I love lip exfoliators that remove any rough skin from your lips without over drying them. Just pop some on your finger and rub onto your lips until you have buffed off all the dry skin. Exfoliating the lips brings blood to the surface and this will naturally plump them. Then when you’ve buffed to your hearts content, just sweep across with a facial wipe.

2. Moisturise
After the drying effects of exfoliation, it’s so important to moisturise with a lip balm and the Avene Lip Balm with Cold Cream is perfect for this. This product is most definitely one of my favourites – it’s super moisturising, not sticky at all, smells divine and has a lovely subtle shimmer. It ensures a perfect smooth base for your lip colour.

3. Lip-liner
Allow the balm a minute to absorb properly before your applying your lipliner.

To make sure your lip colour keeps kiss-proof all night, a lip-liner is essential. Choose a shade that is a similar to the lipstick you are going to use, apply around the lipline and concentrate on filling in the corners of your lips. I’ve used the super soft Daniel Sandler Lip Liner in Taffy. It will make sure your lip colour stays put and if applied in the right way, can make your lips look fuller too.

4. Apply Colour
Finally apply the lip colour. I’ve used the Dior Addict Lipstick in Paris. This lip colour is a very sheer pretty pink, it’s not thick or gloopy, so you can be rest assured you won’t be transferring colour onto your lucky man’s lips!

5. Cupid’s Bow
For an extra touch and to make sure your lips are in full working order this Valentine’s, try add a little bit of highlighter to your cupid’s bow, (it’s the curve on your upper lip under your nose)– the Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid is great for this.
