So soon? I can’t believe summer has been and gone already! And yet here we are, in soggy September, trying desperately to get used to grey skies, chilly mornings, and damp and dreary rain… Well I’m not having it!
From my bronzer to fuchsia lipgloss, I’m a summer beauty girl. I wear fake tan 365 days of the year to ensure I’ve got a golden glow, whatever the season.
So this week I’ve decided to stop the clock and sing in praise of my favourite summer products. I don’t care if the sun isn’t shining – I’m sticking with my St Tropez until summer 2014 comes around…

This power product offers UVA and UVB protection at SPF30. It’s a really handy, easy-to-apply product that I always take on holiday. Simply push up the brush and blend the powder onto your skin. You’ll end up with a subtle matt finish, perfect for softening that summer shine you get from heat and suncream.
St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Lotion
As you know, I’m a massive tan addict and this self-tanner is just amazing as it lasts up to 10 days. I always exfoliate before applying this, then blend it on using a mitt for really natural, even coverage. Quick tip: if you’ve shaved your legs and want to apply fake tan, make sure you stick your legs under the cold tap for a few minutes first. This will close up the pores and ensure you get a smoother finish to your colour.

This is a lovely thick creamy moisturiser. After a day in the sun, or when my skin has been dried out by salt and chlorine, I massage this into my face. It comes in a handy handbag-sized pot, which means it’s always with me for a quick hydrating boost whenever my face and body feels parched. It feels like you’ve given your skin a long drink of water.
Guerlain Lingerie De Peau BB Cream
A super-lightweight base that’s perfect for beachwear, when you don’t want your skin to feel clogged with heavy make-up. BB creams also protect and moisturise your skin, making them the dream holiday product.

This product will help you hang onto your tan – either real or fake – so, as you can imagine, it’s an absolute must-have for me. It’s lightweight, it smells good and it has a hint of colour to keep you glowing!
Stila Convertible Colour for Lips & Cheeks in Fuchsia
This two-in-one product can be applied to lips and cheeks, giving you a gorgeous pink flush that looks healthy and super-sexy. I prefer a cream blusher in the summer as it adds a sexy sheen to your skin without feeling heavy, and this shade is also great for creating a luscious summer lip.

Give your skin a spritz of this refreshing mist before you put on your face cream. It rehydrates dry summer skin and keeps your complexion feeling plumped and moisturised all day. It smells amazing and makes you feel super-fresh – plus you can use it to refresh and rehydrate your skin throughout the day, to keep you looking lovely. I always pack this in my flight bag as skin gets very dried out on the plane, so this is a real beauty lifesaver.

A good bronzer is an all-year-round Binky staple! This gorgeous Guerlain one comprises two shades for contouring and highlighting, and has a shimmering gold overlay too. I love sweeping this across my cheekbones and décolleté to recreate that sunkissed post-holiday glow.
I’m not giving up on my suntan yet. Ever the optimist, I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for an Indian summer. And if the sun don’t shine, well you know my beauty motto: fake it! Bronzer and St Tropez at the ready, it’s always summertime at chez Binky…
