The Beauty Team’s June Favourites

Beauty Team Favourites - June

June has been a cracking month for new beauty. With launches in most major categories, there’s been plenty of newness to get to know – and, in lots of cases, fall completely in love with!

With so many new products comes some fantastic innovation. This month’s line-up has seen masks with intriguing textures, hair products with unique results, and a fragrance that’ll be a huge blockbuster come Christmas time (mark our words!). And alongside all this exciting newness, we’ve taken a look back through our beauty collections to honour some timeless classics: the old favourites we turn to time and time again.

So settle yourselves in – here are the products that’ve made their mark in the month of June…

Emma's Favourite Products - June Emma's Favourite Products - June - Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush

Emma

I’ve gone a bit pseudo-tropical this month! As I’m not off jetting off to warmer climes any time soon, I’ve surrounded myself with gorgeous smelling things and pops of colour. My picks include the best skincare product I’ve tried in months, an unexpectedly wonderful collection of soap, and an old favourite blush that’s stuck with me through the sun and the rain…

Vichy Quenching Mineral Mask
Wow. Just wow. This thick, cooling gel feels like a salve on irritated skin, quickly easing tightness and making skin feel plump and hydrated. I love it so much I’ve been using it as a sleeping mask overnight, and again in a thin layer as my morning moisturiser. It leaves a bit of a tacky film behind that you can remove, but I actually quite like it – it’s like velcro for your foundation! If you’re prone to dehydration of dryness, I urge you to give this a whirl.

Nesti Dante Paradise Tropicale Soaps
Yes, I’ve cheated a little bit here and I’ve chosen more than one product. But my goodness the scents of these soaps are incredible – I just couldn’t leave a single one of them out! Nesti Dante is a soap manufacturer with an amazing heritage, still making their soaps using the old cauldron method so that each bar keeps its shape and scent for a ridiculously long time. These new soaps take inspiration from the tropics, with scents including Hawaiian Maracuja and Guava, and St Barth’s Coconut and Frangipani. *Mouth waters*.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blusher
When it comes to long wear you just can’t beat the stain-like Watercolour Blusher. The ultra-fluid formula creates a gentle, buildable flush that doesn’t budge or fade, and looks so incredibly natural. I use a combination of two shades (Gentle and Cherub) to create my perfect pinked-nude; just dispense a couple of drops onto the back of your hand, and then buff and blend onto skin. There’s a satisfying number of shades available in the Watercolour Blusher, suitable for all skintones.

Chelsey

For those of you that follow me on Twitter, you’ll know I’ve been busy prepping for my holiday to Croatia. Therefore, this June I’m sharing my sunshine saviours that got me beach ready – pronto! I’m talking tousled tresses, smoothed skin and a sun-kissed glow. Interested? Cue my transformational tools…

New In…

Bumble and bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry
I know you should avoid heat styling on holiday, so instead I took along the Bumble and bumble Surf Foam Spray as I knew my hair couldn’t reach official ‘beach babe’ status alone! Despite the hard water overseas, the Surf Foam Spray uplifted my blow-dry whist adding a surf-swept texture to my style. I even caught my boyfriend stealing the odd spritz, and that’s saying something!

Pupa Ultra Rapid Cellulite White Mud
Speaking from experience, bikini season panic is a thing. As soon as my plane ticket was booked, my dedication to the Pupa Ultra Rapid Cellulite White Mud began. This super-speedy treatment targets fat deposits and water retention in your thighs, bottom, legs and hips, whilst ridding your skin of the ‘orange peel’ effect that we all love to hate. If you need a quick holiday fix, trust Pupa!

Shiseido Brilliant Bronze Self Tanning Emulsion For Face/Body
I tend to need a mini-tan confidence boost before I bare all on the beach. From the first application, I was immensely pleased to have no tell-tale lines. I’m over the moon to have finally found a tan that has that glowing, sun-kissed hue. You can even use it on your face too!

Ceryn's Favourite Products - June Ceryn's Favourite Products - June - Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris

Ceryn

Sometimes it’s fun to break out of your beauty bubble and try something you never usually would, and that’s exactly what I did in June. I experienced the skin-loving formulas of bareMinerals for the first time, found a scent that’s unlike anything else I own and tried out a skincare star that’s been raved about for many years. Don’t you just love it when beauty whims work out?

New In…

bareMinerals Skinsorials Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion
If a skincare product promises healthy, glowing skin then I’m straight there, getting it on my face as soon as I can. And it was no different when the bareMinerals Skinsorials Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion landed on the Escentual beauty desk. My first bareMinerals dabble, I can happily say that the serum essence is now a vital part of my summer skincare routine. It perfect for restoring radiance and moisture back to the complexion, whilst offering protection against environmental aggressors. If you’re all about glowy, plump skin then you’ll love this too…

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Eau de Parfum
At first sniff the floral chypre symphony of Mon Paris stole my heart. Not only is the bottle a dressing table must-have with its chic bow and rosy juice, its scent is irresistible to anyone with a sweet tooth. The composition blends red fruits, white flowers and ambrox notes to create something completely and utterly mouth-watering – so, if you’re after something sweet, look no further!

Guerlain Midnight Secret
Despite Guerlain Midnight Secret being a cult skincare hit, my skin had never experienced its rejuvenating powers until earlier this month. And it’s safe to say it lived up to expectations! Described as ‘8-hours sleep in a bottle’, the overnight treatment ensured I awoke to even, radiant skin every morning, even when I’d had a late night. Formulated with a complex of active ingredients that help skin to recover, I’d say the Guerlain Midnight Secret is a must-have for any night owls like me.
