Spring has officially sprung, and in the spirit of the season, the Escentual team are clearing out the beauty products they’ve finished recently. We get to try so much new beauty, so what you may not realise is that it’s actually quite an achievement when we do finish a beauty product. And, as we’re in the season of new beginnings, we’re seeing ourselves using up our favourite beauty not as something sad, but as an exciting opportunity to try something new.
The Escentual team have all got a taste for luxury, so it’s unsurprising that this month’s empties lineup is extremely premium; featuring everything from a luxe honey-infused facial oil, and freshly scented shower gel to a colour adapting lip balm…
1. The Luxe Facial Oil-Serum
Chelsey’s Product Pick: GUERLAIN Youth Watery Oil
Why did you buy this product?
Guerlain’s Youth Watery Oil is an icon. I highly recommend this oil if you have dry and dull skin. Not only will it quench, but it also creates a bouncy, cushiony base for makeup that feels like you’ve already primed your skin. I’ve been lucky enough to try it around 2-3 times now, and I’m yet to find a serum quite like it.
What did you love about this product?
It’s got the richness of an oil, which my skin loves, and the weightlessness of a serum. The golden beads inside give my skin a glow like no other, so I’m intrigued to see if I discover one that compares on my next serum quest.

As much as I’d love to repurchase it, I’m going to be washing it out and recycling it. My job involves giving everything a good test drive, so you don’t have to thank my honest reviews. I’m currently using Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum and will update you on my progress when it’s next empty!
2. The Refreshing Shower Gel

Why did you buy this product?
I’m a big fan of anything L’Occitane; so, I thought I’d mix it up from my usual L’Occitane Almond Cleansing and Softening Shower Oil with something a bit fresher in anticipation of spring.
What did you love about this product?
Fresh, uplifting and invigorating, this shower gel combines a crisp, citrus scent with natural skin-loving oils for a luxurious and soothing cleansing experience. Inspired by L’Occitane’s home town of Provence, France, this body wash is an instant mood booster. It transports me to the calming Mediterranean (especially on sunny days) as it bursts with verbena, orange, geranium and lemon – it’s more than just shower gel, it’s a luxurious aromatherapy session. Of course, like all L’Occitane products, it’s also gentle on your skin leaving behind a smooth, silky and soft-to-touch feeling.

Yes! I’ve got my eye on the Verbena Easter Egg, (which is soon to launch on-site) so I can explore more of the range.
3. The Hydrating Lip Balm
Keavy’s Product Pick: DIOR Addict Lip Glow Colour Awakening Lipbalm 001 – Pink
Why did you buy this product?
I walk almost everywhere I go, so my lips are up against the elements and often end up feeling dry and chapped, which means a lip balm is a must for me. But, as I’ve tried so many in my job, my standards are high, so I wasn’t prepared to just get any lip balm; I wanted a premium balm that made my lips look glossy and plump, feel conditioned with a luxuriously chic design. The DIOR Addict Lip Glow Lipbalm has all of this!
What did you love about this product?
I love everything that makes me glow, whether that’s my base, eyes or lips – so for me, it’s the dewy finish of this balm I love most. My shade, 001 Pink, looks like my lips but better, and that’s probably down to the Color Revive Technology reacting with my unique lip chemistry; I like to think of the colour adapting magic makes the balm my very own personalised piece of DIOR.

I have already repurchased it as I couldn’t be without it, and even bought one for my mum too as she asked me to recommend her a lip balm!
