Find out what we were excited to try out and put to the test from August’s beauty launches!

1. GUERLAIN Double R Serum

Product Pick: GUERLAIN Abeille Royale Advanced Double R Serum

Keavy: I’ve already tried the first formulation of this and I want to try the reformulation. If you recognise this, that’s why it’s new. It’s got new technology in it. It’s got polyfermented honey, which is a new ingredient, and it’s got new packaging and a glass bottle. I just want to see what the differences are between the original formula and the new one. So I’ll let you know how it goes.

2. Lierac Moisturising Gel

Product Pick: Lierac Homme Energizing Moisturising Gel

Ben: I picked the Lierac Energizing Moisturising Gel because, at the moment, I use another brand’s Energising Gel, which is a lot more expensive. I’m hoping this will live up to my expectations. This has got a very lightweight gel texture. Its absorbs really quickly. I’m going to use it in the morning to mattify my skin. At the end of 30 days after using, this I’m hoping that I have a glow in the mornings.

3. Issey Miyake Eau & Magnolia Intense

Product Pick: Issey Miyake Eau & Magnolia Eau de Toilette Intense

Hannah: I love Issey Miyake; I’ve got two already. I know that Issey does amazing floral fragrances. I love Rose & Rose – I’ve worn that for a very long time. But this one is a bit different for me. Magnolia is a note that I’ve not tried a lot of. In my head, magnolia can tend to be for an older audience, but I’ve had a little sniff of this already, and it’s got that beautiful sparkling radiance, and I just can’t wait to see how it wears.

4. Issey Miyake Eau & Cedre Intense

Product Pick: Issey Miyake Eau & Cedre Eau de Toilette Intense

Darcey: I’m super excited to try Eau & Cedre because it reminds me of the great outdoors. It’s got blends of patchouli, aquatic notes and that woodiness. And when I think of the outdoors, I think about my partner. I think it’s quite a unisex fragrance, so I’m excited to share it – me and him together. I really love the bottle – it’s the standard shape you would recognise from Issey Miyake, but it does have this touch of 100% natural wood, which once again, really reminds me of the outdoors.

5. Benefit Gimme Brow Pencil

Product Pick: Benefit Gimme Brow + Volumising Pencil

Ceryn: I’m obsessed with all things Benefit brows; I have tried everything in the range, from the Precisely, Pencil to the Microfilling Pen, all of the Brow Setters and also Gimme Brow. So, as soon as I saw this, I knew I had to try it. I love that it’s a pencil and it’s all about volumising the brow, which is quite interesting. But also, there’s a spoolie – and I love a spoolie! I can’t live without one of these because I think it’s the thing that makes whatever you do with your brows look natural. And also, if you make a mistake, you can quickly correct it. The shade I’ve gone for is 4.5 because it’s the perfect neutral-toned brown.

6. Burberry Hero Eau de Parfum

Product Pick: Burberry Hero Eau de Parfum

Beth: I’ve chosen this product because I noticed it’s got amber notes in it and I’m just all over amber at the moment. Delicious! It’s a lot warmer than the original Burberry Hero, which I love, and it’s also got that more masculine edge. Personally, I think it’s quite suitable for unisex. I mean, whoever wants to wear it can wear it.

7. Mugler Alien Goddess Intense

Product Pick: Mugler Alien Goddess Intense Eau de Parfum

Beth: I’m so excited. I love Alien! My fragrance diffuser in my car has an Alien dupe in it. I just love it! I was absolutely distraught when the oud version of Alien got discontinued because I’ve been saving up on the little pennies to buy it and then it was discontinued. This is perhaps the next best thing; it’s warm, it’s very Alien, it’s very me – and I can’t wait to try it.

8. Eucerin Anti-Pigment Tinted SPF

Product Pick: Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day Tinted SPF30

Jade: I’m really excited to try this product along with the serum. It’s a perfect duo product. It’s also got SPF, which is my go-to now on a daily basis. It was actually created by a makeup artist; it’s got a really good tint to it and it will adapt to all skin tones.

9. KENZO FLOWER BY KENZO L’Absolue

Product Pick: KENZO FLOWER BY KENZO L’Absolue Eau de Parfum

Cath: I’ve got the original and I love it. So, this one smells a bit stronger and a bit spicier, which is so nice. It’s just really pretty and really gorgeous smelling – hopefully it’ll last long as well.

10. Ralph Lauren Ralph’s Club Parfum

Product Pick: Ralph Lauren Ralph’s Club Parfum

Jade: My partner actually has the original fragrance, which I absolutely love and I wear all the time – well, I steal it all the time! I was so excited to try the new fragrance. It’s very similar to the original; they are very woody scents, but I feel like this one has a more spicy and warmer scent to it. It gives off a more sensual feeling, so I’m really excited to wear it and compare it to the original.

11. Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Night Gel-Cream

Product Pick: Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Moisture Booster Night Gel-Cream

Rosa: I don’t have any night creams or gels or anything like that. So, I was really interested to see what it would be like to have one and be very rejuvenating. I’ve only just recently started using products with hyaluronic acid and I am now obsessed with that ingredient. I can’t get enough of it! So, I’m really curious to see what’s gonna happen with this night gel. I also am absolutely in love with Eucerin. I think they are a brilliant brand, and I haven’t ever had any problems with my skin with any Eucerin products. I’m really hoping this is going to be great.

12. Klorane Galangal Mask

Product Pick: Klorane Galangal Exfoliating Mask for Flaky Scalp

Darcey: I suffer with psoriasis on my scalp. I have tried everything for my dandruff. At the moment, I’m using a medical treatment, so I’m looking forward to going towards the natural end. I’ve never used a mask. This is actually the first ever mask for dandruff. It’s kind of a grainy texture, and I’m excited to see how that works in my hair.

13. Klorane Galangal Shampoo

Product Pick: Klorane Galangal Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

Hannah: I’m looking forward to trying the Galangal range from Klorane. I do suffer with dandruff. I have really oily at the front, which comes up in flakes and really dry at the back. And what’s really exciting about this range, is that it targets both. The shampoo is meant to be quite mild and I’m looking forward to see if it calms my scalp, and if it really does get rid of dandruff in four weeks.

14. bareMinerals Phyto-Retinol Cream

Product Pick: bareMinerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Face Cream

Keavy: I love bareMinerals; they’re a vegan skincare brand. This is a vegan moisturiser. It has an alternative plant-based retinol; I’m really keen to try that. Retinol is one of those proven ingredients that you need to get anti-ageing results – less wrinkles, plumper skin – and that’s what I’m hoping I get from this, plus hydration. You may recognise this; it is a new product in the sense it’s a new travel-size. It used to come in a tub. If you already love the pot version, you can use the travel-sized version to take on holidays, or if you’re just looking for a natural alternative for retinol.

15. bareMinerals SkinLongevity Serum

Product Pick: bareMinerals SkinLongevity Long Life Herb Serum

Kate: I’ve chosen bareMinerals SkinLongevity Serum because it launched before and I was really intrigued by it. So, now I’m really glad that it’s come out in more of a trial-size, so I can really put to the test – see how it gets on with my skin, whether I’m seeing improvement and feeling improvements before I commit to the bigger size.

16. Eucerin Anti-Pigment Serum

Product Pick: Eucerin Anti-Pigment Skin Perfecting Serum

Jade:  I already suffer with pigmentation just because I never used to wear SPF, so especially around the forehead area, and I also need a bit of radiance to my skin, so this is definitely going to be the perfect product.
