Here at Escentual, we don’t just wear fragrance because it smells good. We wear fragrance because it makes us feel good too. We love the way that it gives us a boost of confidence, reminds us of a loved one, or even makes us feel relaxed on stressful days. But what are the scents we turn to when we’re feeling a bit tired and sluggish, and need to get the creative juices flowing again? That’s a good question, and it’s exactly the question we’ll be answering here, in the latest edit in our ‘Fragrances That Make You Feel…’ series. Keep reading to find out four favourite fragrances that boost Team Escentual’s creativity…
1. The Merchant Of Venice Imperial Emerald
Fragrance Pick: The Merchant Of Venice Imperial Emerald Eau de Parfum
Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Creative? Imperial Emerald was one of the first niche fragrances I ever reviewed at Escentual, and many fragrance reviews later, I’m just as blown away now as I was then. From the stage-like presentation box to the reflective peacock design, the vibrant colours and sheer opulence is so creative – a unique fragrance unlike anything I have ever seen or smelt before. A floral explosion laced with vanilla, patchouli and musk, the fragrance within continues the masterpiece of creativity. I love wearing bright clothing, and Imperial Emerald always feels like the finishing creative flare to complete any look!
2. Initio High Frequency
Fragrance Pick: Initio High Frequency Eau de Parfum
Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Creative? Ever since I joined Team Escentual, I have fallen in love with Niche fragrances and in particular Initio’s masterpieces. Initio for me is a brand that shouts creativity and innovation with its scents, bottles but also names. When I think of creativity the first fragrance that comes to mind is Initio High Frequency Eau de Parfum Spray. Its creative composition of white florals, heliotropin, hedione and creamy almond is a head turner exactly like a canvas with an explosion of colours. The way the aromas of this fragrance settle down, involve and change from an elegant and innocent perfume to a magnetic and a seductive ticking bomb is perfect parallelism to the artistic scene and how it involves and changes in high fregrency but still manages to captivate everyone that it encounters. For me Initio’s High Frequency is an addictive fragrance that I always wear when I want to be inspired and I have the urge to unleash my creativity.
3. Ariana Grande Cloud
Fragrance Pick: Ariana Grande Cloud Eau de Parfum
Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Creative? Ariana Grande Cloud whisks me away on a cloud of creativity. It’s sweet but fresh-as-air scent provides unexpected surprises with new twists and turns with every spray. Cloud is notoriously a dupe of luxe niche scent Baccarat Rouge 540 but it’s also a celebrity fragrance that’s shaped like an actual Cloud. Ariana Grande is a collision of ultra premium perfumery with a childlike fun and wonder – and, for this reason, I find it a constant supply of creativity.
4. Miller Harris Scherzo
Fragrance Pick: Miller Harris Scherzo Eau de Parfum
Why Does This Fragrance Make You Feel Creative? When I think of fragrance and creativity, my mind is automatically drawn to the iconic Miller Harris Scherzo. This best-selling Eau de Parfum is inspired by a paragraph of text in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Tender is the Night, which was the only thing given to perfumer Mathieu Nardin for the fragrance to be created. I feel the notes used embody this creative freedom, as it really evokes that in me.
