Discover rose in a way you’ve never experienced with the Amouage Library Collection Opus XII Rose Incense Eau de Parfum. Part of the Amouage Library, the Opus XII Rose Incense explores the rose note, creating a floral woody amber scent that’s smoky, sweet and fresh all in the same breath…
This Fragrance Smells Like…
Rose Incense is a fragrance with a smoky rose scent that strikes a balance between sensuality and the invigorating freshness of dew-covered roses. The scent begins with a combination of balsamic elemi and smoky Olibanum (Frankincense) Hyper Absolute, accented by a mysterious black ink accord. Its heart notes come to life with the infusion of jammy Damascena rose water Essential, complemented by the alluring presence of leathery suederal and frankincense absolute. As the scent settles on the skin, it gradually transforms into a more full-bodied, sensual, and opulent aroma, thanks to the addition of sweet, creamy vanilla, harmoniously blended with the woody undertones of sandalwood and cedarwood, all while maintaining its inherent woody rose character.
What’s The Story Behind This Scent?
Rose incense was renamed Opus XII to be part of the ever-iconic Amouage Library range. The unsolved ‘ROSEBUD’ mystery inspires Bruno Jovanovic’s creation of this scent, hence the rose perfume’s dramatic and mysterious dark backdrop of frankincense incense, woods and leather.

The scents last all day on my skin of a working day, so eight hours. And, even longer on my clothes, it doesn’t fade.
What’s Special About The Bottle?
As I said, Rose Incense has been renamed Opus XII collection to match the rest of the Library collection and has a new bottle design. The neutral ceramic-coloured flacon is now housed in a “Khanjar”- inspired bottle, an Omani symbol of divinity; the bottle is the height of luxury, decorated with golden text with the scent’s name and a 3-D Amouage emblem on the front of the bottle to match the rest of the Library line.
The perfume is packed in an outer box with an ornate pattern on the front, which encases the scent safely inside. On the outside, a sleeve covers the box with analogue floral art visuals shot by Valentin Abad.
