In Short…
La Vie Est Belle L’Elixir Smell Like?
It bursts with juicy raspberries and zesty bergamot, reminiscent of a summer Chambord cocktail. A rich, jammy floral bouquet unfolds, with violet and rose absolute creating a sweet and intoxicating blend that has a lipstick, powdery undertone. The scent settles into a warm, inviting base of leather, cocoa butter, and cedarwood, adding depth and complexity to the fruity-floral sweetness. It’s the essence of a strong, sweet fragrance with a prominent fruity-floral character.
Notes are:
Top Notes: Raspberry Accord, Bergamot
Heart Notes: Violet, Rose Absolute,
Base Notes: Leather, Cocoa Butter, Cedarwood.
Perfumes That Smell Similar
Even though La Vie Est Belle L’Elixir is part of the LVEB family, it’s very different, If I had to pick, I would say it’s most similar to the Iris Absolu scent due to it’s powderyness, but the raspberry and cocoa butter sweetness does make this one stand out from the collection. L’Elixir has also been compared to Empathy by House of Oud and Signorina Miseriosa, both bursting with berries, florals and darker woody bases.
Longevity
L’Elixir lasted around 4-6 hours on me, which is expected for this perfume strength. Its sparkliness from the raspberry in the top notes has an effervescent projection, and its sillage is intimate and leaves a positive lasting impression.
Best Place To Wear L’Elixir?
It’s completely up to you how and where you want to wear it, but keep in mind L’Elixir is a bold, striking perfume. It would pair beautifully with your favourite LBD for a nightout, or as an intense perfume for the office. Season-wise, this is much darker and warmer than the original La Vie Est Belle, so this could well be an autumn-winter perfume choice for any fans of the original too.
Sustainability
The bottle is refillable so you can save on waste. The box and spray pump are recyclable, however the glass bottle and neck tie are not.
