A gentle formulation to care for delicate skin, the Clarins Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion thoroughly removes make-up without stinging, drying out or irritating eyes.

Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested, this moisture-rich formulation retains the moisture balance of the eye and won't irritate even the most sensitive of eyes, including contact lens wearers. The added proteins strengthen eyelashes, leaving the whole eye area feeling refreshed and revitalised. Best for light to normal eye make-up due to its gentle formulation.

Soak a cotton wool pad and pass gently over the eyelid to remove all traces of shadow and eyeliner. Do not rub! Next, pass over eyelashes to remove mascara. Use a separate cotton wool pad for each eye.

I also found Escentual website fractionally cheaper than dealing with Clarins direct? It would have been nice to get some sort of tissue wrapping or something instead of just exterior packaging?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cecilia from Not for waterproof makeup! I wear contact lenses and struggle to find a non-oily eye makeup remover that is both effective and gentle. I was at the Clarins counter treating myself and decided to give this one a go. This is a very mild remover and I have not experienced any irritation while using it. It feels like water on the skin, there is no residue at all. It removes my cream eye-shadow, mascara etc without any problems. I press a soaked cotton pad gently over my eyes for a few seconds and then sweep. I received a sample of waterproof mascara (which I never wear because of my lenses) and it took a bit of effort and a lot of lotion to remove it. It's pricey for what it is though and I go through gallons of this stuff! Vichy, Rimmel, Yves Rocher, Klorane make similar products which are more gentle on the wallet and just as good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by greyhound from Lovely Product This is my second purchase of this product, and I can totally recommend it. It is easy to use and very gentle on this sensitive area. It removes mascara quickly and cleanly - no 'oily' residue like some cheap eye make up removers. I do not use eye shadows so I can't comment on how it performs removing them. Delivery was excellent - I have never had any problems with using Escentual.
