Rated 4 out of 5 by Rosalynda from Zendium for dry lips Hi, I read somewhere that dry lips continually need things to change and it's no use constantly sticking chap stick on. Somewhere it was suggested that modern SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate) is added to most products including shampoos etc to give them an appealing foaming look. It said this can also be the cause of dry lips, problem gums and even mouth ulcers. So I goggled Toothpaste without SLS and discovered Zendium and use that alternating with other SLS free toothpastes I've discovered as well. Sure does make a difference. No where near the splitting lips problem. I still use Elemis Minty Moisture Lip balm or surprisingly Lansinoh nipple ointment (if good enough for breast feeding babies, it won't harm me either). Both are applied far less often but very effective and far superior to the Chap Stick variety or vaseline that comes off as soon as you start to speak!
