Etat Libre d'Orange La Fin Du Monde Eau de Parfum Spray

We know what the end of the world will look like, but how will it smell? With Etat Libre d’Orange La Fin du Monde, the apocalypse is captured in an Eau de Parfum.

A companion scent to the apocalyptic novel The End of the World Filmed by the Angel of Notre Dame by Swiss author Blaise Cendrars, the fragrance conjures images of tyrannical deities, avenging angels and intergalactic wars captured on celluloid.

Under the instruction of god-the-father, the Angel of Notre Dame blows his trumpet and the world begins to collapse on the living. The sun slackens and then grows, raining fire until it is no more than a piece of granular phosphorescent fog. The world falls into darkness. There is confusion and turbulence. And then the projector cuts and the film begins to unwind, setting everything back as it was.

Etat Libre d'Orange La Fin Du Monde Eau de Parfum Spray 100ml is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A cinematic explosion La Fin Du Monde, both in title and scent conjure up the excitement of the cinema. Just imagine: the plush velvet chairs underneath you, the slightly metallic and plastic-y wind of the projector in the back, the large cone of toffee popcorn in your hand, and on the screen, the latest apocalyptic blockbuster. Canon's are firing, Paris is on fire, you're captivated yet safe in the confines of your seat. La Fin Du Monde brings all of these images to mind. As a scent, it is not worlds away from the likes of La Vie Est Belle, it's toffee-sugary sweet, but this has a kick to it, the seedy notes and the gunpowder give it a bang, a pop, an explosive nature which makes the opening of the scent exciting as well as yummy. The iris, popcorn and seedy notes are very prominent throughout, making this a scent which would appeal perhaps more to women than men. Overall a delicious addition to the Etat Libre d'Orange collection. The only negative aspect of the fragrance is the lasting power. I get around 2-3 hours, but maybe others will have more luck. Overall positive though!
