Recommended by the European Skin Cancer Foundation, the SPF 50+ contains provitamin E for its powerful antioxidant properties that protect cells against free radicals, which can cause premature ageing, dullness and dryness. Avene leans on a patented filter system, SunSitive, that uses only four filters for optimal tolerance on your skin to minimise the risk of reaction. Rated 5 out of 5 by SGM57 from Happy face, happy me With ancient, aged-spotted, broken-veined skin, I have been using a lightweight coverage on my face for a few years, to soften the worst of the horrors and avoid scaring the horses! Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue and La Roche-Posey’s Rosaliac CC Creme, as well as a badly-judged detour into their Anthelios Pigment Correct, have all fallen by the wayside and into the unused product junkyard. Avene is the one I come back to time and again, marvelling at how comfortable my skin feels the whole day through, with a slight dewey glow that just brightens this old face of mine without making me look like a belisha beacon. OK, so the coverage isn’t much, but it gently blurs the imperfections enough to give me confidence to face the world with a smile.

I have the Avene Antirougeurs tinted spf 30 and I love it. It is slightly oily too but more of a glow and the colour works for me. I thought this spf50 one would be better because of the higher spf and the vitamin C, but not for me!
