As a homage to the equestrian art, Jean-Paul Guerlain created the first oriental fragrance for men in perfumery in 1965. Habit Rouge refers to the famous red jackets worn by the riders. It is a fragrance mix of earth, warm leather and the forest... This is a high-flying figure, the reflection of mastered, refined and powerful instinct.

Habit Rouge Eau de Parfum reveals the intense and sensual signature of woody and leather notes; an eternally elegant French appeal. Habit Rouge embraces a dandy man who dares everything, combining sophistication and refinement. He lives his life fervently and distinguishes himself with a trail of extreme sensuality.

Habit Rouge expresses itself directly in a spicy, woody heart, nuanced with neroli and jasmine notes. Leather and oud wood notes blossom in the base, tempered by the sweetness of vanilla and patchouli.

Bought for my husband's 78th birthday who had never "splashed out" on this before. It was "scent" essentially well wrapped and packed and delivered promptly from Escentual. So pleased I discovered this fragrance - loved reading the full description of this perfume and enjoyed its aroma even more!!

I have to highly recommend it, as it is the olfactory 'soundtrack' of my life, but I would prefer if it didn't get taken up too widely as I want there to be plenty left for me ! I am always complimented / asked about my fragrance, and even though I roam to other brands for other experiences, my life long loyalty is to the genius of Guerlain, and the stand alone classic that it Habit Rouge.
