Wonderful with the right skin chemistry
Sadly, I don't have the right chemistry. It is a screechy mess on my skin which is such a pity as the notes from the bottle are so fresh and enticing.
On my skin I find it very linear from the sharp, unforgiving, synthetic opening right through to the fade. The florals and citrus need to be caught by a balanced, more complex base - I get no musk or woods at all. I thought I noticed a bit of the original Poison DNA at first spritz but it was a tease and faded too quickly.
Pretty standard longevity and silage so I'd say moderate for both.
It's one of those scents I'd rather smell fleetingly on another person than have around me for 6+ hours.
All in all, a disappointment, and definitely a 'try before you buy' scent. Don't follow my expensive mistake and blind buy!

Pure Poison possibly reformulated
I have always been loyal to the Dior brand especially as my Welsh Mum used to wear the original Miss Dior that my Dad had bought for her after the 2nd world war. This particular fragrance I found hidden in the depths of a drawer still boxed & still smelled as I remember when I first bought it back in 2004 when it was launched. However only a little left so when I saw this on Escentual I had to buy it as I still loved the fragrance. Being blind I rely on my sense of smell & upon smelling my new bottle which is still lovely but a slightly different...so my thinking is that it perhaps has been reformulated? I still love it but it is not exactly the same as my older one.
I tend to change my fragrance often so that I can indulge my senses & allow my body chemistry to adapt. As I prefer fragrance to linger I find alternating between fragrances helps!
