Coach Dreams: The Review

review of Coach Dreams Eau de Parfum

American brand Coach is best known in the fashion world, particularly for their exceptional craftsmanship of leather handbags, but their stylish and modern fragrances are slowly starting to take over.

When you buy a Coach fragrance you can expect to get the same quality and refined materials that make their luxury leather goods so popular. With a wide range of men and women’s fragrance spanning across the years, Coach continues to be a hidden gem in the world of perfume that doesn’t get as much notoriety for their fragrance as it does for their handbags, but that’s about to change…

Dreams is their latest addition to the ranks and it’s something special. Designed for a young woman, the Eau de Parfum captures the feeling of living your dreams, being young and care-free: Dreams scent tells the story of friends driving through the hot Californian desert with its vibrant solar notes of orange, cactus flower and Joshua tree. A wonderful coming of age fragrance, it’s radiant and almost tropical floral scent is something that everyone will love.

The Smell:

Clean and full of young energy, Dreams is one of those fragrances that is hard to dislike. The sharp opening of bitter orange is beautifully complimented by sweet and crunchy pear. As the fruitiness fades, the contrasting notes of gardenia and tropical cactus flower create an interesting solar aroma that is different from their previous scents. After you wear the fragrance for a few minutes you’ll notice sensual woods due to a base of Joshua tree and ambroxan. At every stage of this Eau de Parfum, you’ll experience its feminine charm and although you wouldn’t call it unique, it is ideal for someone who adores elegant florals.

How Long Does Coach Dreams Last?

Coach dreams will last around 4 hours on-the-skin. Every 4 hours make sure you top up if you want your fragrance to last longer.

The Bottle:

Dreams’ bottle is a tribute to Coaches heritage in handbag craftsmanship with small pink leather key chain accessories on the brim. Every inch is thoughtfully crafted and oozes quality, with its elegant tea rose, which is an applique used on many of their bag designs and also adds the young and girly feel of Dreams.

What Our Team Thought of Dreams:

Name: Alan
Age: 35

If you had to describe it in three words it would be: “sweet, powdery and feminine.”

Describe Coach Dreams in more detail:
“I think it’s really youthful and feminine and I could see my younger sister wearing it. If I was unsure about what to get as a gift I would definitely buy this as a gift because I know it wouldn’t offend anyone.”

Where would you wear it?
“I could see a young woman wearing this to a summer party in the sun.”

What do you think it smells similar to?
“It reminds me of Dolce Garden from D&G.”

Name: Ceryn

Age: 27

If you had to describe it in three words, it would be: “Floral, feminine and sweet.”

Describe Coach Dreams in more detail:
“It’s a very girlie scent, and also very happy and uplifting. When I spritzed Dreams for the first time, I got a hit of gardenia, but it’s not too heavy or mature like many white flowers can be; this one smells modern and feminine. It’s also very sweet but not sickly – a happy medium I think if you like your perfumes neither too sweet nor too floral.”

Where would you wear it?
“I wouldn’t personally wear this perfume, but I think it would make a great first fragrance for my niece. It’s a fail-safe scent, almost like a nude lipstick, and will work for every day, especially in the spring/summer months.”

What do you think Coach Dreams smells similar to?
“You can notice Coach Floral within it; however, Dreams is a little sweeter, and for a younger person, while Floral, because of its woody-musky base would suit someone a little older.”

Our Predictions For Dreams:

After looking at the catalogue of Coach perfumes, we’ve definitely seen the brand expand their style and design. For Coach, this bottle and scent is a completely new avenue. Perhaps they will bring out a Dreams Eau de Toilette next?
