Oud fan or not, you’ll love Oud Eclat. The scent moves away from the traditional power of an oud that may dissuade fragrance lovers from wearing them as it counterbalances the usual intensity of an oud with fresh florals and sweet notes.
The fragrance starts with woody tones of agarwood, tagete and cashmere wood, followed by a lightly spiced heart of warm amber, floral transparent facets, fir balsam and fiery nutmeg. After Oud Eclat settles into the skin, it reveals the sensual green undertones of moss and musk, combined with the sweetness of sugar and a rich leather note.
What’s The Story Behind This Scent?
Created by perfumer Emilie Bouge, Oud Eclat is a scent that’s inspired by the balance of contrasts found in crystals. She was inspired by the idea that, in order to create something truly beautiful, you have to have everything in perfect balance. It’s said that, if you look through a crystal, you’ll see both light and dark sides when the light shines through. The eclat (the light) of this scent comes from the sugar notes, while the rich darkness of the ‘oud’ comes from the leather, amber and spice.
