Delina Eau de Parfum isn’t *just* a best-seller for luxury fragrance house, Parfums de Marly. It’s also one of the most romantic floral fragrances I’ve had the pleasure of trying.
It’s a firm favourite at Escentual, and we know that a few of our loyal customers have worn it as their wedding fragrance, too. So, it’s about time that I created this Delina review to tell you all about Parfums de Marly’s iconic niche perfume, especially as I have two exciting bits of news to share with you:
1. A luxurious scented body oil has joined the Delina collection for 2022 – and yes, I’m hooked.

What Does Delina Smell Like?
Delina Eau de Parfum – and all of the perfumed body products that go alongside it – is a thoroughly charming floral bouquet with a modern twist. To start, Delina has a surprising freshness, thanks to the crisp aquatic tone of lychee, the sun-kissed green-citrus tones of bergamot and a tangy rhubarb note, warmed through with a sprinkling of nutmeg to ensure the fragrance doesn’t become too tart.
The heart is where Parfums de Marly Delina comes to life; it unfolds with a scattering of Turkish rose petals that power the fragrance. This rich, velvety, romantic rose note blends with lily of the valley and peony, which complete the floral bouquet, while a sweet, sensual vanilla accord joins the mix to prepare you for the base. As Delina warms on your skin, soft white musk, cashmeran, and vetiver unite for a slightly woody fragrance that’s cosy and comforting yet quietly seductive.

If you’re intrigued by the world of niche fragrance, and you’re a loyal rose lover, Parfums de Marly Delina should be on your list of scents to try. And if you’re fed up with wearing fragrances that last no longer than two or three hours, then you won’t be disappointed by Delina Eau de Parfum.

If you’ve tried Delina La Rosee or Delina Exclusif, you’ll have a rough idea of what Delina Eau de Parfum smells like; it sits in between them both in terms of richness. La Rosee is a fresher, cleaner take on Delina, while the Delina Exclusif perfume is a slightly warmer, smokier amber take on the original.
If you’re unfamiliar with either of those fragrances but love the rich, hypnotic aroma of velvety, curled rose petals, Delina might just be your next obsession.
Is Delina Unisex?
At Escentual, we always say that the most important thing about a fragrance is that you enjoy wearing it – and not who it’s marketed at. However, if you like to know whether a fragrance is marketed as a fragrance for women or men, then it’s important to note that Delina by Parfums de Marly is viewed as a fragrance for women; due to its rich, intoxicating floral tones, it definitely fits into the more traditionally feminine fragrance category.
What’s The Longevity Like?
If there’s one thing that’s not up for debate when it comes to a Parfums de Marly fragrance, it’s that it’s incredibly long-lasting. We’re not talking five, six, or seven hours here. It’s more like a minimum of ten or twelve hours; Delina truly has all-day wear on me. The scented body products in the line are also really long-lasting too, as well as have impressive strength. Comms manager, Chelsey, was wearing the 2022 release, the Delina Dry Body Oil, without the fragrance and still got asked three times what perfume she was wearing; it’s that good.
What’s Special About The Bottle?
Parfums de Marly Delina is nothing short of stunning. Chic, elegant and graceful, the delicate pink flacon features the iconic Parfums de Marly curved bottle, jewel-studded silver top and is finished with a pink tassel draped around its neck. And fans of the bottle will be glad to hear that the 30ml size variation that Parfums de Marly released in September 2022 features the exact same luxurious design, just shrunk down to size.
The rest of the Delina line honours the pale pink and sleek silver colour scheme, except for the latest addition to the mix: the body oil. It has a clear glass finish to see the luxe yet lightweight oil within.
