Introducing sun protection for oily and acne-prone skin. The Eucerin Sun Oil Control Gel-Cream SPF50+ is a high protection facial sunscreen with chemical filters and added shine-control.

Designed for those with oilier complexions, Eucerin’s mattifying Sun Gel Cream helps minimise sunburn and skin damage by featuring Advanced Spectral Technology, which combines broadspectrum and photostable UVA and UVB filters.

This lightweight cream also works to minimise premature signs of ageing. The formula effectively neutralises damaging free radicals caused by UV and HEVIS light - which contribute to the ageing process - by using Licochalcone A. In addition, glycyrrhetinic acid supports the skin’s natural cell repair mechanism.

Effectively controlling and mattifying excess sebum, the formula showcases Oil Control Technology with lipid-absorbing pigments and sebum-regulating L-Carnitine to provide your complexion with an instant dry finish, while achieving an anti-shine effect for up to eight hours.

Ultra-light, non-greasy and easily absorbed, this non-perfumed, non-comedogenic cream is clinically proven to provide an invisible finish - and can be used on the most sensitive of skin or alongside acne therapy.

I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and although it hasn't broken out my oily skin massively (which I put down to perhaps other products I have been using), it contains alcohol denat which slowly but massively disrupts hydro-lipid structure of the skin which in the end will lead to more and more breakouts/irritation. It has a strong scent of alcohol, doesn't roll much on top of the skin morning routine, doesn't leave white cast and is ultra-light but I still won't re-purchase because of that alcohol denat (I heard there is much better replacement for it such as propanediol). Perhaps the manufacturer will improve the inci in the future and I will re-consider buying as the price is attractive. For the time being I keep searching for the perfect sunscreen.

It did indeed have a matte finish which was spoiled by a weird skin sweating effect about 2 hours after application ( as if you'd been sprayed by a water mister) ultimately leading to white streaks running down the face. waste of money

Rated 3 out of 5 by Emar from Works for shine I wanted to try out a SPF that was mattifying. This worked but then it meant my skin looked a bit dull and flat. I think I prefer a slight shine for some glow! Would be great if you were really oily and wanted to bring that down a bit. No white cast

I have suffered with oily skin and acne all my life and have rarely used sunscreen as most products made my skin worse, extra oily, and felt heavy and chemical. This sun screen absorbs quickly, skin feels dry and NO excess oil or shine. It also smells lovely! And it does exactly what it says. For the first time in my life I feel I am protecting my skin from damage without exacerbating it's underlying problems. Thank you so much
