Parfums de Marly Perseus Eau de Parfum Spray

£200.00 - £245.00

“Parfums de Marly Perseus has a very realistic, zesty grapefruit note! Usually, citrus fragrances don’t last very long, but I could still smell Perseus 8 hours later!” - Ceryn, Escentual Beauty Team.

Why You’ll Love Parfums de Marly Perseus:

  • It’s such a bright scent you’ll feel energised and joyful wearing it.
  • Perseus is an easy-going scent; it’s hard not to love it!
  • It lasts much longer than traditional citrus fragrances.
  • Cashmere wood gives the scent a luxurious smoothness.
  • Men and women love its citrus and woody notes blend.

It’s a sunny grapefruit aroma contrasted by traditionally masculine notes; it’s a unique take on conventional citrus fragrances. Perseus has been likened to Hermes Terre d’Hermes.

What Does Parfums de Marly Perseus Smell Like?

Perseus is a radiant, uplifting citrus fragrance contrasted by a refined woody accord. The unisex scent opens with freshness and an authentic pink grapefruit note that smells just like the real thing! Soon after spritzing, it’s clear this is no ordinary citrus aroma; Perseus’s middle and base notes include more traditionally masculine notes like vetiver, dry woods and cashmere woods, which give the energising Eau de Parfum luxurious depth and smoothness.

Fragrance family is Citrus-Woody.

Top notes are Grapefruit, Bergamot, Blackcurrant Bud.

Heart notes are Vetiver, Green Mandarin, Geranium.

Base notes are Dry Woods, Cashmere Wood, Ambergris Accord.

Why It’s Escentual:

Julien Spreche, Founder of Parfums de Marly and Nathalie Templer, the Perfumer, created Perseus to evoke an early morning at Chateau Marly in Versailles, conjuring up images of the morning rays hitting the garden’s beautiful blooms and orchards and making its fountains sparkle.

Perseus has a spellbinding effervescence that’s impossible to dislike. It can be worn year-long, but we think it’ll come into its own in the spring/summer months. The citrus isn’t too sweet and has impeccable staying power, which isn’t always the case for a scent in this fragrance family.

The Best Way To Use It:

We also recommend the following perfume tips:

  • Target areas where the blood vessels are closest to the skin, allowing the fragrance to emanate. Common pulse points include the wrists, neck, behind the ears, and inner elbows.
  • Resist the urge to rub your wrists together after applying perfume. This can break down the fragrance molecules and alter the scent.
  • Hold the perfume bottle about 6–8 inches away from your skin when spraying. This ensures a more even distribution of the fragrance.
  • Keep your perfume in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations. This helps maintain the integrity of the fragrance.
  • If your perfume fades throughout the day, consider reapplying to pulse points or areas where your skin is warm.
