DIOR Eau Sauvage Parfum Eau de Parfum Spray

£54.50 - £75.00

For 2012, François Demachy has created Eau Sauvage Parfum, the new chapter in this legendary story.
With the same timeless chic, and same degree of evidence, this great classic has, for the first time, dared to appear in the noblest of concentrations: Eau de Parfum, for black tie charm.

This new composition emerges as a nocturnal signature fragrance with a pronounced citrus, woody and amber scent. Mysterious and sensual Myrrh combines with the virile potency of Haitian Vetiver to clothe the emblematic accord of Eau Sauvage.

CITRUS, WOOD AND AMBER

It has new intensity, both deep and magnetic.

Top Note

San Carlo Bergamot: Bergamot essence is obtained through cold-pressing the rind of the fruit. This brings a marked sweet freshness to the fragrances, and adds a special radiance to the citrus notes.

Heart Note

Haitian Vetiver: Originally grown in India and Indonesia, but also present in Haiti and the Reunion islands, vetiver is a hardy perennial, whose roots contain its main fragrant elements. The essential oil is obtained through steam distillation. The lingering accords of vetiver are used in woody and chypre compositions.

Base Note

ESSENCE OF ETHIOPIAN MYRRH: The story of Ethiopian myrrh is as old as that of incense, dating back more than 3700 years. Harvested from the myrrh tree where it drips naturally, its resin-like rubber  is then distilled into an orange-coloured thick essential oil. Similar to Opopanax, it is often used in oriental perfumes where it adds a sweet, slightly woody and balsamic note.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by DIOR Eau Sauvage Parfum - Highly recommended A great fragrance which is nothing like the eau de toilette spray, offering a whole new experience. Chic and sophisticated, this is heavier and richer than the original and is perfect for the autumn/winter period and I only need to use one spray instead of the usual two. Highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 by Strong but not overpowering This is a classic well built fragrance. The aftershave is clean with an invigorating scent and this perfume version is deeper and more substantial but not over the top. June 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Modern day classic with an old school vibe Just 3 notes listed; bergamot, myrrh and vetiver. How does something so simple smell so fantastic? It opens with a sharp bergamot and is very similar to original Eau Sauvage but that's where the similarities end. Next the myrrh takes centre stage and it's fantastic; creamy, smokey smoothness with a hint of vetiver in the background. Longevity is beast mode and projection is great too. This is a rich and opulent scent that contains a nod to the classic Eau Sauvage but, above all, is it's own beautiful fragrance. I absolutely love this and it goes straight into my top 5 Autumn/Winter scents. February 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Alluring I find fragrance is very personal to an individual. Similar to art, I don't know much about it but I know what I like. The Eau Sauvage parfum is long lasting, smells expensive, the ladies are attracted to it and I love it. Hence I'm on my second bottle. That pretty much clinches it for me. February 4, 2014
