Fresh from the success of their eponymous capsule fashion line, Project D have taken on the world of fragrance with the launch of their signature scent. Dedicated to the innate beauty of women, the fragrance aims to make women feel feminine, empowered and utterly glamorous.

The brainchild of Dannii Minogue and her long-term friend Tabitha Somerset Webb, Project D is a range of spectacularly chic dresses that merge Dannii’s all-out glamour with Tabitha’s rock ‘n’ roll edge. The move to produce a fragrance was a completely natural one for the best friends, who believe that fashion and fragrance are historically been entwined; both are trend-led, deeply personal and pretty controversial!

The signature Project D fragrance, £34 is a rich floral blend that rolls in waves of opulence. The top accord opens with Neroli, Bergamot and Ylang-Ylang, heady and entricing, before sinking into a mysterious whirlwind of Tuberose, Osmanthus, Mimosa and Purple Orchid at its heart. A smooth base of Sandalwood, Saffron, Skin Musks and hot Amber oils increases the seduction, igniting the senses with rare and precious ingredients. The result is a truly timeless scent, full of allure and intrigue.

The sumptuousness of the scent is carried through into the feminine packaging, with dusky pinks and a curved, teardrop bottle. A touch of chic glamour is added with the monochromatic outline of a woman, confident in her sensuality.

Rather than just produce a traditional, singular fragrance, Dannii and Tabitha ran with the fashion concept and created a supplementary range of 3 Eau de Parfum Sprays, £25.00. Each spray represents one of the three accords of the main fragrance, which can be mixed and matched to create a signature style. This novel concept has been well executed, split into ‘moods’ and specific times of the day: Dawn is ‘Ready to Inspire’, with uplifting Neroli, Bergamot, Geranium and Ylang Ylang; Day is ‘Ready to Intrigue’, caressing the skin with Tuberose, Daisy, Osmanthus and Mimosa; and Dusk is ‘Read to Ignite’, a passionate and addictive elixir with Sandalwood, Skin Musks and hot Amber oils.
