Product of the Day: Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Golden Dry Oil

Last weekend I rediscovered an old favourite of mine. As soon as there is the teeniest hint of sunshine, I whip out my trusty Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Golden Dry Oil and then use it for absolutely everything. It’s probably my favourite summer skincare product of all time. Seriously. Plus the fresh scent never fails to remind me of the beach.

The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil is made up of a complex of ultra-fine oils and nourishing Vitamin E. Although I used to be a tad wary of oils because of their density, I find that after smoothing it on all it takes is a moment or two for it to sink in without greasiness or residue. Afterwards my skin feels satin smooth and, weirdly, almost as though I’ve used a dusting powder. I use it after stepping out of the shower, on both my skin and the ends of my hair. I steer clear of using it on my face though – my combination skin would probably have a riot!

The best thing of all about this wonder product? Its gorgeous shimmery lustre. The pearlescent gold looks just perfect on my skin, and it looks especially magnificent when the light catches it in my hair.

In the summer I rough up my locks, spray them with a bit of salt spray and apply Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Golden Dry Oil to the ends. It looks gorgeous, feels healthy and is completely low maintenance. I’m not normally a massive fan of shimmer, but the golden mother-of-pearl used in the oil leaves a more subtle, sophisticated finish that is just lovely.

  • Great post, I bet it looks stunning in the hair! Great idea, I was thinking whether it can be applied to the face. My normal- dry skin would probably enjoy an extra drink! Very subtle but noticeable if that makes sense? Does it have a scent of any kind? x

    • The scent is actually one of my favourite parts about it. It’s a really fresh floral, but leaning more towards the fresh side. Sometimes I don’t even wear fragrance as it smells so nice!

I probably didn’t do the texture much justice with my snap, but you’re right – it’s not an in-your-face shimmer, instead more of a subtle pearlescent sheen. It’s an added bonus that it’s so moisturising and skin softening too 🙂 It would even be great as an illuminating base underneath make-up for dry skin. It just has so many uses.
