Autumn is one of the trickiest seasons for your skin.  It’s no longer hot, but not yet icy cold and your skin is still recovering from days spent soaking up the sun whilst battling the new elements of central heating and chilly skin-dehydrating winds.  My top tip is to begin incorporating a good quenching serum into your skin care regime to protect from the elements and add extra hydration.  So that’s your face sorted, but don’t forget about your hands as, along with your face, they are the most exposed body part.  Use a good hand cream to protect cuticles and hands from the cold, and don’t be shy about slathering it on a few times a day.

If you are baring skin on nights out nourish whilst looking good by slicking a body oil on legs, arms and decollate.

Your Essential Autumn Arsenal of Cosmetics

Making the transition into autumnal make up is also a sticking point for many people.  With tans on the fade add warmth to skin by selecting a matt bronzer that is a shade lighter than your summer one.  Metallics are a hit this Autumn but ensure you select a shadow that is more shimmer than sparkle or you’ll end up looking like a teenager ready for the school disco!

With party season coming up fast my best day to night trick to transform your look in seconds is a red lipstick.  Invest in a really good one – Dior and Daniel Sandler both have a fabulous array of reds.

My advice for this season is to use a lip balm or conditioner over lipstick to keep it looking fresh and to help lips stay hydrated.  Slicking it over your lipstick add a bit of gloss and hydration to make lips appear plumper.
