stephaniemelon‘s Review of Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Foundation:

I got this foundation after trying close to 10 others from various mid-high end brands. Most of the time, the shades were either too yellow or too pink. Worse they would oxidize. I also was looking for a foundation that wouldn’t slip off my face or transfer colour to my hands.

Eventually, I decided upon LdP. The colour range is very good. I chose 03 (and for reference, I have been matched to Chanel’s VA in 040, diorskin nude in sand, RBR in almond parfait, burberry in 04). This is probably the best of the lot. It melts in with your skin colour, leaving an excellent medium coverage on. There’s no redness left, but neither is it so full coverage that you look unnaturally uniform in colour. Instead, I looked like how I wish my natural skin is. It was also sufficient to disguise some of my dark circles.

LdP stays on very well. I did not find it slipping, and with an light dusting of powder, it lasted all day. I’m normal-dry, and this did not become oily or shiny. It remained dewy looking. It also felt very light on, as though I wasn’t wearing anything on my face, which was nice. The texture is very liquid when you put it on and I suppose when it spreads out, it leaves a veil of colour — hence it didn’t feel substantial although it was. I didn’t find that it emphasised any dry patches on my face which was good.

The only thing I wasn’t all that keen on is the glass bottle. It’s opulent and looks great on my dresser. However, it’s a bit of a hassle to travel with it.

All in all, recommended if you’re looking for something medium coverage, but very natural looking and light in texture.

VirtualDiva‘s review of Juliette Has A Gun Midnight Oud Eau de Parfum

This is a lovely oud scent, which is a great alternative to the house of Montale. It is reminiscent of Kilian Hennessy’s Rose Oud.

For those, who know what oud fragrances are like, certainly know the medicinal note which strikes one at the beginning.
However, with Midnight Oud this is not the case, the first ten minutes are rather gentle before the actual dry-down. This is when the beauty of the fragrance starts evolving. Overall, it is a great perfume for both women and men.

Certainly, one has to be familiar with oud, therefore, I would suggest to get a sample before purchasing. For those, who are not sure about oud, please, see my recommendation below (Juliette has a gun – Lady Vengeance)

Finally, the longevity is not bad either. It last about 5 hours on my skin.

Fashionista‘s review of TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Shampoo and Conditioner Duo

I started using Your Highness duo when I decided to give my hair a make-over and wear big, bouncy curls everyday!
It applies wonderfully to the hair – and the flowery scent is so good – but, since the shampoo is so thick and concentrated, I have to apply more than I usually would. I only use the conditioner on the bottom half of my hair and rinse out extremely well – otherwise the hair will get too thick and sticky when blowdrying and styling.
So, unlike the shampoo, with the conditioner a little goes a long way!

The effects on the hair and mind-blowing: it becomes so volumised all over, and really shiny and healthy-looking. Plus, the wonderful scent stays in the hair for a long time (even after blowdrying and curlying!). I’ve had many people telling me how great my hair smells and how gorgeous it looks!

Your Highness Duo is definitely a keeper 😉

CeeVeeTee‘s review of Clarins Radiance Plus Self Tanning Cream-Gel

This is great to apply in a morning to develop throughout the day. Glides on easy and moisturizes really well. Has the usual fake tan smell, not an overpowering one though – but hey! you apply it to your face so of course you’re gonna smell it!! From experience I’d say it develops quicker the warmer you are. That’s not to say it goes an unnatural colour or anything but you’ll certainly notice by lunch if you are in a warm office compared to an air conditioned one!

I have been using this for a couple of years now and have never experienced streakiness with this product – its perfect to give you a bit of colour without being fake tan obvious. Will continue to buy as long as Clarins continue to supply it. NB. Escentual are really well priced 😉 x

Jen19‘s review of Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil – Dehydrated Skin

If there is one product I never like to be without it is this. My skin is dehydrated rather than dry, particularly after a cold snap or a beach holiday & I can always rely on this oil to re-hydrate & comfort my skin. At night, measure just 4-6 drops, warm in the palms and smooth into face & neck still damp from toner. The smell is divine, herbal and ‘clean’ without being medicinal and the oil quickly sinks in leaving skin velvety smooth & completely drenched in moisture. A little goes a long way and a bottle lasts me up to six months, so it is quite economical. You can also add a couple of drops to daytime moisturiser if your skin is really uncomfortable. My skin glows when I use this product and I love it.
