Summery sun-drenched greetings from BBB (Binky’s Beauty Blog) coming to you this week from Porto Ercole in Tuscany, Italy. There’s nothing like a few days of sun, sea and sexy Italian guys to make a girl feel fabulous, but and this wasn’t just a great holiday, it was a beautiful occasion too, as we were here to celebrate my gorgeous sister Minty’s wedding day.

I love weddings, not least because they’re a brilliant excuse to go clothes shopping. We had the hen weekend in Majorca (new bikinis), the wedding itself (new shoes, dress, new everything!) and the evening beach party (my new favourite frock – a slash-front maxi dress).

I loved my maxi dress so much, I couldn’t resist tweeting this pic of myself. You know how great you feel when you find the perfect outfit for an occasion? Well and this dress was just right – the ideal mix of subtle maxi length and daringly deep décolleté*.

For simple sex appeal, you can’t beat a glowing, tanned bust (or décolletage). It’s a classic weapon in any girl’s beauty armoury – forget side-boobs (so last week), fake boobs (too plastic), balloon-boobs (too porno) and under-boobs (sagging out from under a crop top is never a good look). However, wearing a revealing frock like this one calls for some serious pre-party body prep work. Let’s face it, there’s quite a bit of Binky on show here…

Like a good girl scout, my motto is “be prepared”. That counts for beauty as much as anything else, and the more effort you put into caring for your cleavage, the better the end results. The area from neck to bust is a sensitive one, with delicate skin that is prone to signs of ageing and sun-damage. There’s nothing more unattractive than a wrinkled, droopy, crepey cleavage – major fashion faux pas! Luckily, there are tons of great beauty products designed to make the best of your bust.

I always start my body prep work by exfoliating – Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Skin Smoothing Body Scrub works a treat and smells heavenly. Next I massage my décolletage with a moisturising, bust-boosting cream. Pupa Breast Enhancer and Clarins Bust Beauty Firming Lotion are two of my favourites – both leave skin feeling silky-smooth, as well as helping to firm and tone your boobs. Start paying a little extra care and attention to your bust two or three weeks before the big night and I guarantee you’ll improve your the look of your assets.

My fail-safe finishing touch is Nuxe Prodigieuse Or Golden Dry Splash Oil. I always pack this amazing beauty product when I go on holiday and smooth it into my skin before I go out in the evening. It’s a light, non-greasy oil that is flecked with gold, and it gives tanned skin a super-flattering glistening sheen. The result is a décolletage to die for.

Well, the wedding party may be over and I’ll be flying home soon, but all my hard beauty graft won’t go to waste. We start filming the new series of MiC in a week or so, and this Chelsea girl is ready for her close-up!

* Style note: décolleté describes the low-cut front of a dress while décolletage is the bust area of the body. Don’t say I don’t teach you anything!
