Dior DiorSkin Nude Foundation and Powder — Swatches and Photos

The brand new collection from Dior is perfect for this season’s bare-skin look. DiorSkin Nude is the perfect blend of radiance and flawlessness, working with your natural tones to create a tailor-made make-up look. Nude glow pigments make the complexion luminous and uniform, while 100% natural ingredients really care for your skin.

As well as a liquid foundation and a powder foundation compact, there is a range of correlating brushes for perfect application. If you’re anything like me, Dior Nude is set to change the way you think about foundation!

Dior Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup

This is a really exciting launch – a 100% natural foundation enriched with flower waters and skin-caring ingredients that still offers the professional, flawless finish that you expect from Dior.

I’ve been using this consistently for a week now – at work, at the weekend and on nights out – and I’ve actually stopped using my other foundations as they feel a lot heavier than this yet offer the same amount of coverage.

The Dior Nude Foundation comes in a weighty glass bottle complete with silver accents and a pump that doesn’t dispense too much product. 2-3 pumps will cover the entire face and then some.

The texture isn’t watery in the slightest – it feels melting and and soft, and leaves a velvety, radiant finish. The foundation lasts for 8+ hours without powder, with only slight touch-ups needed around my nose and mouth.

Diorskin Nude Compact Powder Makeup

I have very dry skin and powders tend to cake a little on my skin, so I’ve been on the hunt for a formula that is light and fine enough not to do this – and I’ve found it in this luxurious compact. The compact contains both a sponge for full coverage, and a brush for lighter touch-ups. I’ve been experimenting with both and find that the brush is great for setting my liquid foundation in the morning, and the sponge is perfect for more concentrated cover-ups during the day when my make-up has started to slip a little.

Another problem with dry skin is that it tends to lack a natural glow. This powder is infused with tiny mother of pearl particles that won’t make your skin sparkle, but will instead offer a gentle and natural radiance that catches the light just so. I’m even able to dust a little powder onto my very dry under eye area without it settling into fine lines. Where my liquid foundation covers my imperfections and makes my complexion more uniform, the Dior Nude Powder makes my skin flawless. It’s a must-try for those who favour natural-looking, adjustable coverage with a luminous finish.

Dior Powder Foundation Brush Light Coverage and Dior Powder Foundation Brush Full Coverage

To accompany the new range of makeup bases, Dior have released a full complement of foundation brushes. There are two new liquid foundation brushes, and two new powder foundation brushes – as seen below.

Each brush has a long handle and is stamped with the Dior logo. Inspired by watercolour brushes, they’re made up of natural bristles for super soft application and effective powder distribution.

They’re sleek, refined and beautiful – everything you’d expect from Dior. Each brush comes complete with its own velvet pouch for on-the-go touch ups.

The Full Coverage Powder Brush has a dense, flat-topped brush head for maximum application of colour. The shape of the brush is perfect for crushing the pigment of your powder, making it able to pick up more of the formula. If you want to wear your powder as more of a full-coverage foundation, the flat top is also deal for buffing and working the powder onto the skin for a smooth and polished finish.

The Light Coverage Powder Brush has a much softer, domed brush head for a lighter dusting of colour. Rather than crushing the pigment, the layered and sharpened fibres work to pick up a smaller amount of powder and gentle deposit it on the complexion for more translucent finish. This is the perfect brush for you if you prefer to lightly set your make-up with a dusting of powder.

Brilliant review Emma… and very tempting as I have dry skin too and am always trying to find the perfect combo of coverage + radiance without cakey-ness!

It’s my ideal powder – lightweight, skin-perfecting and non-chalky. It makes my skin look really good without looking like I’m obviously wearing powder, which is a problem I always seem to have! (Plus – that packaging!) E x
