Warm Up – Pampering Tips and Tricks for Getting Warm This Winter

The temperatures are dropping  and you may be finding it hard to keep nice and warm – and that’s even after you’ve popped the heating on. Kill two birds with one stone and incorporate some warming products into your usual pampering routine. Not only will your energise your skin and your senses, but you’ll be feeling suitably toasty in no time.

1) A little bottle of essential oil is a wonder product at this time of year, and the Tisserand Frankincense Essential Oil is my favourite. It fills any room with the spicy warmth of frankincense when used as a home fragrance, whether in an oil burner or dispersed through pot pourri. Alternatively, tap a few drops into your bath, or apply topically to pulse points for an instant hit of comforting scent.

2) Ginger is another brilliant natural warmer. Swap out your usual shower gel for the Roger & Gallet Ginger Shower Gel and you’ll really feel the difference. The thick and luxurious formula transforms into masses of moisturising bubbles upon contact with water, and the piquant scent of ginger really invigorates the body in the morning.

Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Warming Foot Smoother
You probably find that your feet are pretty cold and uncomfortable during winter, especially if you have circulation. Counteract this with a good foot massage every now and then to get the blood flowing again. The best product for this? This heated foot scrub from Crabtree & Evelyn – not only does it intensely moisturise and restore the softness of your feet, but the scrubbing motion warms them right up!

Tisserand Soothing Wheat Cushion
If you need some literal heat, then consider this alternative hot water bottle from Tisserand. Pop the wheat-filled cushion into the microwave for some instant warmth – as an added bonus, its soothing lavender scent will really help you to unwind.

Acqua Di Parma Large Cube Candle in Spicy
Infusing warmth into the home is just about atmosphere as it is about temperature. Light this luxurious candle in the hallway to welcome visitors, when you’re in the bath,  or even just when you’re relaxing and watching TV. As the wax burns, it releases the comforting, spicy scent gradually.
