Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion

Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion - Ceryn

I’ve always wanted to be one of those women that could walk out of the water with sea-tossed waves and undeniable texture, hair that looks effortless and chic with little, to no effort. Unfortunately for me I walk out of the sea looking a lot more shipwrecked than surfer babe, but that has all changed with the arrival of the new Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion. I was a little late catching the salt-spray wave, as someone with very long hair I didn’t think it would work for me, but how wrong was I…

The original Bumble and bumble Surf Spray is a summer must-have for so many, giving wind-styled, wild texture in just  a couple of spritzes. Since its creation in 2001 the Surf Spray has been the unsurpassed original for creating sexy, beach styles, but now there’s whole new wave to ride.

Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion

Meet Surf Infusion, an oil and salt-infused spray that gives hair soft, touchable waves. What’s the point of difference between Surf Spray and Surf Infusion I hear you ask? Surf Infusion is crafted with softening oils, allowing you to condition your hair whilst you style it (perfect for those with drier hair), and is meant for adding texture to the lengths rather than body to the roots like its counterpart Surf Spray.

Surfers have used oils to combat the drying effects of salt water for years, and Bumble and Bumble have now bottled up that goodness for us all to enjoy. The new formula features a sea salt bottom and oil-based top that activates when shaken, infusing the texturising qualities of salt with the nourishing benefits of coconut, mango seed, passion fruit and palm oils. Another reason to add this little wonder to your beach bag is the UV protection it will give your hair from the sun. I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to sun protection, my hair isn’t usually at the top of the list. A spray like this is just the thing I need to make protecting my hair a priority, while of course getting that irresistible texture and body.

And to make this hair hero even better it’s super simple to use: just shake to activate and spray on damp or dry hair, focusing on the mid-lengths to ends. For extra volume you can diffuse with a hair drier or just let it dry naturally, for hair that is tousled to perfection. I did a bit of both, spraying on my damp hair and then adding a little more into my dry hair when styling. It’s perfect for giving hair undone body, making it look like you’re fresh from the beach. This spray just kept giving too! The day after my hair looked even better than it did the first day, with chic, slept-in texture and a matte finish, which I’ve never been able to achieve before.

But the arrival of Surf Infusion doesn’t mean that the original Surf Spray should be left at sea, quite the opposite. Pair both together and you’ll never look back, Surf Spray works wonders on giving your roots extra lift and Surf Infusion ensures your mid-lengths are texturised and full, creating a style you’ll never want to wash out – well I didn’t want to anyway.

The Surf Infusion is going to be a holiday essential for me this year, I’ve always been one to sport a top knot at the beach, but not anymore. The conveniently sized spray will be your saviour when you get out of the sea or pool, a few sprays and some scrunching and you’re good to go. But don’t just think Surf Infusion belongs at the beach, Bumble and Bumble have made it easy to create beachy looks even when you’re far from the water.
